School holidays in France....

Hi guys,

Just found a link that has all the dates for the school holidays in France for 2008. Would I be right in thinking that the schools are on hols from 19th april -5th may???? We were thinking of going on the 21st of April for 5 days but would it be worth while us going the week commencing 14th instead???

I was thinking of the 14th originally so it's no prob to switch back to these dates as I havent booked anything yet???

If you look in The Very Useful Info sticky there is a thread for School Holidays which in turn gives a link for French school holidays. Actually, I think it's up on this page at the moment.

There are three different zones for France ~ Zone C (Parisian schools) are on holiday from April 19th - May 5th but Zone A are from April 12th - 28th and Zone B (the next nearest) from April 5th - 21st so I'd go for the dates that suit you the best.

If we could switch to say around mid may, do you think that this would be quieter with the kids being at school or would be pretty similar???

Just trying to pick the quietest time really as we are not tied to any dates.....

I would guess it will be quieter plus hopefully the weather will be kinder and the evenings even lighter.
