School for Imaginearing

I wasnt sure what board to post this at... hope the mods can help.



I was wondering how someone would get a job at Disney for this. Im not sure if anyone on these boards are actually Imaginears but its worth a shot.

Hi - there's a website at http://disney.go.com/disneycareers/wdwcareers/professional/professional.html
It lists job postings for Disney. You didn't say what your schooling is or your preference for jobs but this lists all different types of positions. Worth a look anyway and good luck!

Most of the early Imagineers were artisits that worked on the films first. Mark Davis (Tinkerbell, Maleficent, Haunted Mansion, Pirates), Frank Thomas (Baloo, Thumper, Pinocchio), Ward Kimball (Jiminy Cricket, Mad Hatter), Herbert Ryman (Art Director for Dumbo and Fantsia, design of Disneyland, design of Epcot), etc.. went to schools like The California School of Fine Arts and Santa Barbara School of the Arts. Now I think you really need a good Engineering background, computer skills, AND be a great artist!
