School Cloths

I am so dreading school shopping this year. It will be my first year as a single mom of 4. My kids are not too worried about new clothes, but the older ones are picky. Unfortunately, they have ALL have grown out of their clothes and only the youngest can wear hand me downs (the 2nd is a girl and the oldest is 7 years older than the other...lol). We go to Gap and Gap outlet, old navy, hollister outlet, abercombie outlet and justice...sometimes limited too...but I think they are way too expensive. I order Mulberrybush for the younger ones online but they are still pretty high. I will be bargain shopping this year:)

We havent went back to school shopping yet. But school doesnt start until after Labor day so we have a little time. My dd just turned 8 and is going in to 3rd grade. Last year we had really good luck at Childrens Place. Everything fit great, washed well, and held up through out the school year. I love how their stuff is easy to mix and match. I think I spent about $100 there last year and got her about 6 outfits. She has enough shirts to get the year started, but needs new pants. Like many of the others, all her pants are high waters after some serious summer growth spurts.

School uniforms here so it's pretty cut & dried. However, I've stuck with buying them from JCPenneys because the Izod brand seems to hold up a lot better than the couple other "uniform" brands out there (ie. French Toast).

I'd imagine there's a lot of clothing sales going on right now though, if not soon. :)

We don't go back till sept. But DS will likely get more stuff in Oct then for sept. first for sales and 2nd to wait for the weather to cool down enough.

Mostly needs jeans and other pants.

the school supply list just kills me though!!

i hold out on school supplies until they send home a list the first day of school, my dd is going into 4th grade and my ds is going to kindergarden,,so not much for him,,,i have to buy cloths for school and cloths for there dads cause he dont send them back home :furious: sale rack and garage sales for that,,,,

I went shopping already and am done. I also do the clearance shopping thing. When the children's place had their stuff on sale, I stocked up. They have way more than they need right now which is great. I'll set aside some for later! I'm a bargin shopper and this stuff isn't cheap enough for me yet, but just give it till the end of Sept., and I'm hitting the stores again! :goodvibes

I buy my girls a few new things now, (mostly on sale!) and then some more later when it gets cooler. We went to Kohls for jeans/capris and to Payless for shoes.
