I went to a private school and all they really allowed you to choose was your birthstone everything else had to be the way the school wanted it.

that is exactly why i went to our local jewelers to get mine. the ones we could order from the school were twice as much money, you could only get one design on it (you did get to pick the rick style however) and they chose the design for the one side on it so everyone would have the same. i wanted colorguard on the other side as my activity and they did not offer that one in the ring i wanted so i said oops too bad im going elsewhere!

I did get one for high school - never really wore it so decided not to bother with one from college.
