School Bread?

Can someone please explain to me what school bread tastes like? Is it sweet? I have seen pictures and read about it, but am unsure as to what it would taste like.

It's a "MUST DO" for me on each trip. My friend laughs and says, "It's nothing but a Boston Cream Donut with Coconut topping"... BUT.... It ISN'T!!! LOL

It's a BIG donut...but better...Filled with a great cream...not like a Boston Cream but a rich delicious cream... With icing and coconut on top.
It is sweet and delicious and who knows...you may or may not like it BUT it's worth the try...

I always thought it reminded me of a roll too with like a buttery sweet cream filling. Like Seewhatimesdone says, it's sweet but not too sweet and not as heavy as a normal pastry.

That's the description. The "donut" part isn't a donut at all. It is a roll with that cream on top. It's good. And so cheap!

I don't get this at all -- to me, this is nothing special. I've had it a couple times, just to make sure I didn't get a "bad" one. But, nope, it's just a hunk of sweetish bread with a dollop of cream in the middle.

It is a sweet type roll with a cream in the middle and shredded coconut on top. I enjoyed it, its not very sweet and very very big.

Just read the other thread and I have to say I believe I had the "old" one and it was good, have not had this new formula and dont know if will try it.

You know, I had one too when i was there in April and it was just "ok". It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I think it was worth trying once but I wouldn't get another one the next time I'm there.
