Scheduling DME

On our next trip we will be staying at OKW using a friend's points. She has already made the reservation for us. We are DVC members as well. We will have a rental car when we arrive and will turn it in the day we get there. We will use DME to get to the airport at the end of our stay. Do we have to arrange for DME before arriving at OKW, or can we just do it when we get there?

If we have to set it up before we get there, does our friend need to set it up, since we are using her points, or can we just call with the reservation number and set it up ourselves?

I believe you can do it at the resort. You just have to give them a couple of days notice. If you know for sure you want it and your friend is willing, you can just get it done ahead of time as well.

I would think the easiest thing would be to have your friend do it for you before you leave. She made the reservation so she'd need to arrange it.

It can easily be done through email, which I find more convenient than calling. The email will need to have names, airline, flight number(s), and date.

Just have your friend submit the DME form on the member website.
