I'm so confused....don't know if I should reserve our dining depending on what park we'll be in.....when I'm ot sure WHERE we'll be!!!??

I want to lunch at: Storytellers, BB, RainForest Cafe & dinner at Goofy's Kitchen & Jazz Kitchen ...leaving the last night open to do what we please.

We will have EE on Thurs & Sat so we'll be in DL in the morning for sure....after that I'm not so sure. I think we'll definately go to DCA after DL opens to the public on Saturday bc of crowds....AAGGHH!!! Am I overthinking this??

How did you decide when / where to make your reservations - did you just wing it?

Here's what I would probably do...

1/9-Goofy's Kitchen
1/10-BB
1/11-Jazz Kitchen
1/12-Storyteller's
1/13-Rainforest

Although, I probably wouldn't do that many outside the parks. I would sustitute Cafe Orleans for Jazz Kitchen and maybe Riverbelle Terrace for Rainforest, since I hate leaving the park on the last day!

We usually wing it for the most part.

I feel the same way that I am not sure where we are going to be on each day and I hate to make ressies far ahead.

For this last trip 11/10-11/17, we did make a few ressies but one we made the same day at Cafe Orleans and the other was the night before for Storytellers for the next morning.

We tried to eat lunch right when places opened and dinner a little early. The busy days we did eat over at my Dad's house. So we did have a way to escape and get a good meal.

We are just not big planners while on vacation. I just knew at some point I wanted to try my first Monte Cristo.

I always make dining reservations prior to going, I don't want to be stuck without one of my favorites. BB and Goofy's are very difficult to just walk in to. For Rainforest, it is not very difficult to get to from DL at all, just take the monorail over and you are there, then monorail back. All you have to do is plan time for monorail waiting. Storytellers I would do on my DCA day since you can go out the entrance near the GCH to go to the restaurant, and then go back into DCA the same way. It's very close, and very easy.

Storytellers can have a long wait at dinner or breakfast, and the same is true for Rainforest, so once again, I would make my reservations ahead of time. I've never been to the Jazz Kitchen, there is nothing on the menu I enjoy. You can also take the monorail to get to Goofy's, but it is a little more of a walk than when you go to Rainforest.

Can't tell you what to do as we have not been in years. We have been traveling to WDW. This Dec will be our first our west inh about 7 yrs, We are from Sun City and saw you were from Scottsdale. Just wanted to wish you a great trip.
