Hi all,

Any one know the current time slots for the following? We will be there on 4/23 -4/26.

Animation Academy

Sorcerer's Workshop

Turtle Talk with Crush

We were there last summer and didn't get a chance to experience Animation Academy or Sorcerer's Workshop. Are they even worth trying to get to??

Thanks!

I've never gone myself (definitely planning on it for my next trip though!) but according to my 2007 DCA map, the Animation Academy and Sorcerer's Workshop show every 30 minutes. The last show begins 30 minutes before the park closes. Hope that helps! :flower3:

I'm not sure if I am thinking of the right thing, but there is an outdoor stage in DCA near the Muppet Theater and Monster's Inc. That is where we saw an Animation show last year. The show itself was just a quick musical thing that I would probably not watch again. Not bad at all, but once was enough.

However, the reason we went is because we had been told it would be a great way for my daugher to meet Cinderella. And it was!!! Each show they have 3 singers and 3 Disney characters. We saw Woody, Mickey, and Cinderella (I believe the princess may vary). My son was chosen to go onstage with Mickey, and got an autographed drawing (show prop) and picture after the show. And we waited only 5 minsutes after the show to meet Cinderella. That meeting was better than Ariel's Grotto......she chatted a bit more and was very friendly.

So, if you are looking for a good way to meet some characters (such as princesses outside of the PFF or Ariel's Grotto) and Mickey, it might be worth your while.

The Sorcerers workshop is not on a schedule. It is an "enjoy at your own pace" offering. My kids love it.

I think TTwC is every half hour but they do change frequency.

There is another offering there related to drawing instruction and it is usually every 30 minutes as well.

.

Some times they do the musical outside the drawn to animation studio, so check the schedule.

We got pics with Woody and Cinderella after the show once as well. The next day at Ariels she asked if she should autograph the book again, since she had met us the previous day and signed it. I was shocked that she would remember us.

I am so looking forward to spending some time there! DD6 loves the Create Zone in Disney Quest at WDW, so I am sure she'll have fun in here! :hippie:

Drawn to the Magic is a show that takes place either on the Hollywood Backlot stage OR right out front of the Animation Academy. After the show Woody, Cinderella, and Sorcerer Mickey meet with guests.

As far as the Animation Academy goes, Turtle Talk runs every half hour, the last show begins 30 minutes prior to park closing. The Sorcerer's Workshop like mentioned above is to be enjoyed at your own pace. Currently there is a Snow White exhibit in the hall as soon as you enter. Snow White has also been making appearances right outside the Academy at a lil' makeshift cottage facade. I love the Animation Academy, I think the Sorcerer's Workshop is a lot of fun, the character quiz is my favorite. I highly advise checking it out. :thumbsup2
