I am just curious, I leave on Wednesday for the World and will be there till June 5th, when I do a 10 day for the weather, I see every day says scattered or isolated thunderstorms, I was just curious as to your opinons on this, if you have been this time of year, I know June is a rainy month but didn't know if the days were total wash outs or just passing thunderstorms, etc. I just don't want the whole trip to be a wash out. Also when you go over to where it says chance of percip, it only says like 30% chance, so maybe some of you FL people could shed some light for me. Thank you in advance. :)

When I have gone to WDW the weather during summer says Tstorms of one kind or another. It usually rains for about 15 min to 1 hour then the sun comes back out. I have never had it rain all day.

Just remember your ponchos and sunblock. :rotfl2:

We always go to WDW in spring or summer, and we live in south Georgia. Usually, especially in the heat of the summer, thunderstorms pop up late in the afternoon and, usually, they don't last long. The good thing is that people leave the parks when it rains and , if you stick it out, it will be a lot less crowded after a shower. Also, the parks/rides do not close for rain, but lightning can be a factor. Don't let a little bad weather bother you...

It's almost funny, everyday around this time of the year, around 2:30 or so in the afternoon all the shops/carts start stacking the WDW poncho's.

One tip we learned a few years ago. If the poncho's ever rip etc just take them to the nearest shop and they'll replace it for free.

We need the rain badly here in the Orlando area. We haven't really gotten to the rainy season yet. It could be raining on one side of the park and not the other.

Thanks for all the great advice, sounds very tolerable. Hoping for the best. :)

the past 4 times i went it said rain all week, and it only rained maybe twice. the one day it sprinkled for about 20 minutes, the other day it down poured for most of the day.

but don't forget there's plenty of other things to do if it's rainy!

I lived in Tampa for 11 + years. You will find that almost every day a thunderstorm will arrive. Around 2:30 - 3:00 or so the skies will cloud over and usually by 5:00 there will be a heavy downpour. (I used to joke that it was just in time for the rush hour drive home.) It *usually passes quickly and doesn't ruin the entire day. In fact, the sun pops out right after unless there is a storm system that has developed. I really wouldn't worry. If you have a stroller, plan on covering it as it will get drenched - learned from experience there. :teeth: Other than that, pack ponchos and try for indoor attractions. Avoid DQ though as it will be packed!
