Scary way to wake up!!

I got up at the usual 5am. Went downstairs and took the dog out and then jumped in the shower. When I came out of the shower I happened to look out the window and I saw headlights coming. Well, they went right through my front yard and through the chainlink fence and then through my neighbors yard. I yelled for my husband to call the police and then I ran outside to make sure no one was hurt. A young guy got out of the car(which he let continue to roll). I told him his car was still rolling and he got back in and put it in park. He then proceeded to walk away. My husband was yelling at me to get away from the guy. At this point my neighbor came out and started yelling for the guy to stop. He kept on going and someone started following him to keep an eye on him. The good samaratin that followed him came back to tell us what building he went into and that he hit a telephone pole before he crashed into the fence. The police arrived and said the car had been hotwired and was probably stolen from the auto place on the corner. We have to go to the station later to look at some pictures and see if we recognize him. I guess I will listen to my husband next time and be a little more cautious before I go right up to someone. Well, how is everyone elses Friday morning????

Kind of makes our waking up to the 5:40 AM test of the EAS on the tv (which was on all night while we were sleeping) seem tame by comparison!! Glad everyone's okay.
