Can people recommend rides i should avoid, seeing as my stomach turned on star tours and pirates of the carribean (i hates them 2 or 3 drops!!!!) :rotfl2:

Ive been to Disneyland paris so i know a lot of the rides which i need to miss.

I think we can safely say that all rollercoaster rides are to be avoided! :3dglasses

thank you. :rolleyes1

Let's see:

MK:Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain, possibly Haunted Mansion.
Epcot: Mission Space and possibly Soarin. There might be a couple of the nations that might not be good but I can't remember their names right now.
MGM: Tower of Terror, Rockin Rollercoaster
AK: Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, Primevil Whirl

Those are probably the biggest ones. Most of the other rides are on relatively flat ground.

Definitely Dinosaur in AK. It is totally dark inside with Dinosaurs and dim lights on them and the sound is SOOOOOO loud. FOr me, the sound is what makes it so scarey. We got stuck on this ride for over 10 minutes...in the dark with all that sound. I just closed my eyes and prayed the ride would start. I'm not so sure I can ever ride this one again. Darn that Jurrasic Park movie!

If Pirates didn't agree with you, you probably should stay away from the Maelstrom in Norway in EPCOT. It has a drop..... :goodvibes

I'm really susceptible to motion sickness, I'm talking very susceptible. My rule of thumb is that if I think it'll make me nauseous, don't go, it probably will. I lover Soarin', but I can only keep my eyes open for a very brief period, over Christmas I tried to watch more of it, but ended up with a queasy stomach the rest of the afternoon. Yeah, I miss out on a bunch of attractions, but I still love the place more than I can say.

I love roller coasters, loved TOT,star tours, dinosaur, space mt, and every other ride at WDW, BUT.....

I could not tolerate Mission Space! Stay away!

Come on now...there are a few of you who are just a little too cautious. Everyone knows that rockin roller coaster featuring aerosmith is just a short journey through the history of rock n roll, and tower of terror's original name was "tink. oh that crazy tink". Who can get scared or sick on those? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sorry I crack myself up :teeth:

OP, you sound just like me! I get freaked out and motion sick VERY easily and so does my DD8! Another one to avoid might be Kali River Rapids at AK (I don't think anybody's mentioned that one yet). One of the many great things about WDW is that there's something for everybody, even scaredy pants like us!

BTW, I just love the folks here at disboards, y'all are all so funny! I smile and lol all the time when I'm here! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Please try Soarin in Epcot... this is what I did for my daughter who gets sick at the drop of the hat... I gave her a bonine pill the night before last twenty four hours.... she rode soarin and loved it so much we rode it twice... she is 22 and I have never been able to get her to ride things because she gets sick so easy, we are going to disney in March and she cannot wait to ride soarin...

Thanks for the replys, would have replied yesterday but was in "training" at work. :confused3

I get motion sickness very easily, the flight from the uk will probably be the worst thing i experience on the trip!

Although i dont like the drops in pirates of the carribean, i will probably still do it this time i know the drops will be coming so i can prepare myself!!..........hopefully!! :woohoo:

Who mentioned the tea-cups? That is probably one of the worst rides i could go on!! if they do a kids version i probably wouldnt be able to handle that!

I'd avoid Spacehip Earth in Epcot. It's dark, you ride half of it backwards. It's in terrible condition so you can't understand anything anyone says and it stopped four times when I was on it in December.

Im the one with the teacups idea. My DH is a terror on those things. He's no wimp, and he spains that thing as fast as anyone could, I imagine  And Im a coaster chicken (absolutelyNO INVERSIONS) Im lucky enough to enjoy some others though, like splash MTN, Kali, BTMR... I guess Im lucky Im not that bad. The most motion sick Ill probably get is on the 4 hour drive there and back. Im not so good on the road :confused3

I get motion sickness as well. Of course I'm also a ride wimp, but I am going to try meclazine (dramamine) for motion sickness this year and see what happens. It works wonders for me when I fly and dive (bumpy boat rides) so why not on the rides?
