Hi all! I asked this question on the "Splash Mountain for scaredy cats" thread but nobody answered. Apparently, I'm a thread-killer! :goodvibes

I do not enjoy roller coasters AT ALL, but most people were of the opinion that Splash Mountain is not that bad so I'm pretty much convinced that I'll try it this year. But...what about BTMRR??? Are there any big drops? Anything at all about that ride that would make my stomach do flips? Any info. would be appreciated!

It's not very bad at all. If you're afraid, try sitting in the very front seats. They seem to have the least sensation.

Have fun

There are no big drops on BTMRR. You will find the big drop on Splash Mountain, but if you're set on conquering that you can probably handle BTMRR. That being said, some people are just not ride people and don't like to go fast.. BTMRR is not a big rollar coaster for people who are rollar coaster fans ( and mind you I am one, RNR is one of my favorites!), but it is a rollar coaster esque ride. There are some sharpe turns, and you go kinda fast.. so if you don't like that kind of stuff be wary.

Have fun! :goodvibes

I am a scardy cat and I rode BTMRR in June for the first time and I liked it! There are no big drops, just small ones. Nothing to be afraid of. Now Splash Mountain on the other hand I refuse to get on!

Thanks!!

I'm determined to try something new this time! I suppose I'll try Splash first and if I can handle that drop, then BTMRR should be no problem. My plan is to scream through it and hold my daughter in a death-grip (it helps!) :teeth:

mean mean mean :rotfl: :rotfl:

don't sit in the front if you are afraid...then you see every drop and might try to climb out of a moving vehicle! don't sit in the back either as that is usually the most sway so try mid car.

as far as coasters it's tame...only a couple "medium" hills and i think it seems low because of the scenery around you so you don't look out to "nothing but air". it does move kind of fast and you get a little thrown around with some but not a lot of stomach drop sensation. it isn't really scary though and if you look around and see the cute little sights( flooded tub ect) it will take the edge off your fear.

i'd do btmrr first ...then splash...the hill is lots larger on splash so work up to it

try it once, you may love it!

GGTD, I had been trying to get DW to go on both of these for years, and finally, she did. She loved BTMRR, and even though she got wet on SM, she really liked it, too. DW is not a roller coaster person and is somewhat prone to motion sickness, but she did great on both of these. Go get 'em!
