Scanning tics for remaining days on Hoppers

Has anyone ever been asked to show ID when asking guest services to scan your Hoppers to determine the # of days and plusses that remain on your tickets? Just wondering as I purchased the ticket for my son but plan to use it for our upcoming Dec. trip.

If there is a name on the ticket, the CM may (and is allowed to) ask for photo ID.
