My mom is looking into getting SCAL. We want to be able to use our fonts and make different things than what Cricut carts offer. So a few Q's.

1.Is it easy to update the cricut so that this program will work

and

2. Are there any sales or coupons for this?

I think you'll need to download a trial version of CDS to update the "firmware" on your Cricut. You don't need to run the program other than once to get the firmware updated.
