SB: Summer/Holiday Swap - Boy you ladies are very talented

I had a nice surprise in my mail box when I came home today. My summer/holiday swap package was in there.

WOW - You ladies are some talented. I simply love everything. I thought Spinning had put some pixie dust in my bag when I opened it and a bunch of gold beads came out but, unfortunately is was my sun shaker box which had lost it's - shake, so I scooped up all the beads and I'm putting the sun back together. I probably should have sent down a box to put them in.


THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU EVERYONE I can't wait to use all my new things and now I have some things to scrap lift and for the next swap I'll have some ideas to work from.

I especially like the Dad boarders - they are so kewl

I got mine yesterday too and everything is soooo great!!

Sorry about your shaker box I made them and may not have put enough adhesive on the suns (had to make them with foam sheets to make a circular shape - not the super sticky foam tape.) They are a bit huge so fell free to cut down the rays a bit to fit your layouts.

WOW! I went to the mailbox this morning & what should I find, but a package of red, white & blue sb goodies! I have alwyas been such an Americana nut that these items are so wonderful - you all are so talented .

As soon as I organize all the photos I have taken out of the old albums & old boxes, I will begin scrapping them. When I saw the Statue of Liberty paper, I know that will go with the pictures of my first (& only) visit to the Statue of Liberty. Unfortunately I don't know who made it ... I'll go back & find Spinning's original post. I want to put a note on the page about where I got the item.

And Nicurn's little girl shows me how to use double sided tape & beads (forgive me SS swap person who sent these items to me -I'm learning slowly!) & wire! I'm not usually into paper poieced people, but this one shows me these items can be cute!!

I recently got our 4th of July parade photos back. The 4th of July border, corners, tags, shaler box, etc. will be used to scrap these photos.

Now I have a "problem" ... in this holiday swap package I also received a DAD border by Robin/RRBB. Unfortunately I did not participate in that part of the swap. Did someone who did, not get their DAD border? I haven't opened it yet in case I have to forward it.

Also, I received two journaling boxes - one Americana, one summer fruit & bumblebee. Maybe I was only supposed to receive the American one. Don't get me wrong I love the extras, but if I am not supposed to have them, then I want to be sure they get to the right person.

I did have some extra stuff some people made more than was needed and I added it too the people who weren't in both swaps. There was only 3 of you that were only in one swap. I hope I didnt' screw this up!

Oh the dad borders were part of the Holiday swap. So you were suppose to get them.
The journaling squares came in a set of 2. I Didn't look at both. But that sounds right

I will definately participate in the next swap. When should we start it? I think we should do fall / Holiday. What do all you ladies think? I'll even Oh I can't believe I'm going to say this volunteer to host this one.

Now if someone will just tell me what I have to do we'll be off and running with the next or should we wait until next month to start? Personally I would prefer to wait until September to do this.

Just let me know and I'll get things going.

Laura I would love to do another one , but can we do it after the character swap ends in September ? I finished my squares already , but I think one a month is good so that people don't get overwhelmed . Thats what I love about this particular board . I waited a long time to join a swap , but after all of the great reviews from the ladies here I knew this was the place for me to actually give it a try . I have heard horror stories about swaps . The group here is an exception , and from the work I recieved yesterday worth the wait . I loved my stuff .

So far we have four of us . . Spinning, Nicki Darling, Nicurn, and myself.

I wish I had signed up for the Character swap but I am swamped this month so September will be so much better.

So, in September I'll post for the swap I think 10 people would be good and we can do Fall / Holiday (Halloween, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving) - 10 in each catagory. Sound right?


Well back to re-organizing my things. I have way to much NOT!!! Never to many scrapbook things.

Count me in, too, for the fall swap. I have so much fun doing them. I use the swaps as a way to try out new products and techniques. And when I'm trying out new techniques, I get lots of practice making my items over and over again.
