Sb stuff I bought at WDW

Hi fellow scrappers!

Just got back from WDW and I got some stuff from the World of Memories Store in Downtown Disney. It's been 2 years since I have been so I got some stuff you guys probably already have had for awhile but thought I would post it for those of you who will be going soon.

There was WAY more stuff this year than in 2003 but still I thought they were lacking in stuff. A lot of the stuff was still crappy, like the kits with the colored stickers in it (what were they thiinking???) but they have improved!

I think Disney needs to sit down with about a dozen scrap addicts and get new ideas for products from the actual scrappers!!! Can you imagine the things we DISers could think of for disney scrapping supplies WOOOO!!

Anyway, I also got a small video of that store and when I get all my stuff together I will capture it and edit it (that is if it turned out) and I will post a link here

I've been following your live report. You've got lots of great pics to work with.

As a beginner scrapper, I'm going to check out the World of Memories store for the first time in a couple of weeks.

I didn't see that kit when we were there in August. It looks cute! I haven't used my punch "for real" yet, but I love it. I've used the eyelets and really like them. Loved your trip report!

Hey Cass, loved the trip report by the way. And love, love , love the stuff you picked up from the store at downtown disney. I'm trying not to look to closely. Might see something I just gotta have (lol). Which ends up being most anything Disney.

Thanks for the pictures. We are going in three weeks, and I can't wait to stop in that store. I've never used snaps. I'm not sure how to do that. Does you album look like it will be easy to put refills in it? I'm sure I'll need something with refills.

OMG! I am about to jump up and down. I have to have that kit and the castle eyelets/snaps, the papers look so much better than the ones there last year. I wasn't even sure if I was going to go in the DTD store cause it was such a disappointment last year (like I could resist browsing, anyway!), but I think we might have to trek down there first thing, now.

I have been following your trip reports the whole time and I have just loved it. I have been telling my DFi daily update of shere you guys are, how many ice creams Rob had, etc and he is about to kill me. Says I spend way too much time on the Dis. He also is now loathing you guys, cause every day I say something like, "oh we will have to get a picture of that, like Cass & Rob" and "well Rob let Cass take pictures of him with all his food" and "Cass took 2000+ pics, so just be happy I am only shooting for 1000"! I am so sad you guys are home, but glad to hear you are getting better. Reading your reports really made the days fly by until my trip. Can't wait till you get some of your pics up on your web and some new pages, too. Your LO are awesome!

Last year when I tried to use those Mickey eyelets they were practially IMPOSSIBLE to set without all of the paint coming off. I wonder if they are better now. You will have to let us know.

FYI - almost ALL the items Cass posted can be found at the shop in the Contemporary Hotel...I don't recall seeing the large Tink 3-D stickers and the castle punch - but EVERYTHING else was there.

and could somone post a Link to this trip report...I keep hearing about it .... and want to read it. edit - Found it!!!

Last year when I tried to use those Mickey eyelets they were practially IMPOSSIBLE to set without all of the paint coming off. I wonder if they are better now. You will have to let us know.

Were you using the larger setter or the regular sized one? (As in, the making memories kit comes with 3 sizes of hole punches, but one size setter) A larger setter helps. I had trouble at first. Also, after I get the sides bent down a little, I just use a hammer to flatten.

The reason I got that album was because it had more pages in it than the usual albums have so I might not even need to find refills which is a huge hassle for wdw albums!
