I'm just trying to figure out how to store my Sizzix dies. I hope to (very soon) have a complete alphabet and a few other various dies. I am short on space and don't have a specified scrapbook area, so I need to be able to "break down" my stuff and pack it away when I am through for the day. I've seen the Sizzix Die Storage System which looks nice, but, like I said, I need something that can be packed away. Right now I just have them in the side pocket of my bag, but I can never find what I am looking for without taking everything out.
What do you guys use?

How about a clear plastic tote, just find one the in the size that would hold all the dies...

Hi grover!
I have been looking at the clear totes (like at Michael's & A.C. Moore), but a lot of what I have seen seems to be geared towards punches and/stamps, so either the tote doesn't hold enough or the compartments are not big enough to hold some of the bigger dies that I have. That's kinda what I have in mind, I guess -- some kind of tote that would be big enough/have enough slots. I just wasn't sure if there was something out there specifically geared towards dies.

Robin -- thank you! It hadn't even dawned on me to try on ebay. I really like the storage containers on wheels!

I recently bought the sizzix storage system at Micheal's. It comes with plastic doors that slide on for storage. I keep mine in a closet when I'm not using it . I was able to fit my entire alphabet, numbers and punctuation plus a couple of large die cuts. I had the 40 percent coupon so it was only about 15.00. I don't think you will have any problem storing it because the doors fit pretty tight. They also fit on the sides when in use. My CM consultant has 2 of them she carries in her car to the crops with no problem.

I didn't realize that the Sizzix storage system comes with the doors -- my local Michael's doesn't carry it, so I've never seen it in person, just on the Sizzix website. That would work, since my main concern is being able to put it away, and the doors certainly do make it portable.
With all the snow we have here, I guess I'll just be forced to do some shopping online!
Thanks for the ideas, everyone!:D

Currently I have mine stored in a rubbermaid clear container. Works great for me! I'm probably going today to get the storage thing from Sizzix as I have some money to do that and a 40% and 50% off coupon at Michael's. The 50% off coup is only good through today. I have been wanting the punctuation dies so I might get those and then use my 40% coup for the storage system. And like you, I don't have a specific "space" yet. I have a desk that I have to get put together and am planning on getting a cabinet to put with my desk but that might be a month away yet.

Our local Micheal's just started carrying it recently. You might want to wait a week or two to see. The 40% coupon makes it very resonable.

I went last night and got one of the holders and I like it very much. I was able to get it with a 50% off coupon that they had that was a two day coupon. Now today I'm going to go get another one with my 40% off coupon (I just ordered a the rest of the lowercase and the rest of the uppercase letters in the Fun Serif so I will need two of them because I have some other dies also).

Also make sure to check their website on Tuesday's as they have specials that are only good on Tuesday's. Maybe they will have that on special sometime. I did notice that the website price for these were about $5 more than the purchase price at Michael's.

I never knew about the Tuesday specials at Michaels...I'm off to check it now!!! Thanks!

I'm sorry - I meant Tuesday specials on the Sizzix.com site!!! Oh dear - I think I just sent her on a wild goose chase. I'm sorry!!!!

Also - if you don't get a paper with the Michael's flier with the coupons, sometimes they have the coupons in the store - or let me know and I can try and get one to you in the mail.

It's never a wild goose chase when it comes to scrapping stuff! I can always find things I need. Actually, I hadn't gotten a chance to go Michael's site to check yet -- I was getting ready to when the evil snowplows returned (I shoveled my driveway of 20" yesterday, the snowplows came and plowed my cul de sac this morning, only to push all the snow from the street directly in front of my drive. So, I again cleared my driveway this morning. Not two hours later TWO trucks returned to plow me in again!!!! Not that I'm upset or anything :p )
It's funny about the Michael's coupons -- I know some people hardly ever get them, but I usually get 2 a week. I get one with my Sunday paper and one in my Wednesday paper. I usually get the AC Moore coupons at the same time.

Oh good....I was so worried that you had headed out in this stuff......and now I see you were going to go check the Michael's website....see - this is what I get for DISing instead of working!!!!! ROFL
