Has anyone here done a layout of a WDW parade? Is there anything special I should know or could do with this? All I have are pictures at this point. Nothing struck my fancy at the scrapbook store yesterday, in regard to parade pages.

I have 2 in my 2000 WDW scrapbook in my siggy below.

In the Main St Elec Parade one... I found the parades opening words on-line somewhere & included them. ( I plan to do the same when I get around to scrapping Tapestry of Nations.)

On the Magical Moments parade....we only caught a bit of the parade towards the end. Since one of my pictures has a light refraction in it (rainbow spectrum thingy).... I tried to play that up with Disney clipart in the rainbow colors.

No specific parade stuff purchased. I tend to create my own or find it on the web most times. (Not to be confused however.... I DO ALOT of scrapbook shopping.... I just don't seem to USE it. LOL)

Any of your pics I try to open, I get a message saying "sorry, this photo is unavailable". I was able to get a good idea of what you did though. They look good. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks too for guiding me toward your parade pics. I have a ton of pics of the Share a dream come true parade. I guess I don't need to include a picture of every float, lol. But I definitely want to include a parade layout b/c ds4 had a special experience there. Peter Pan pointed to him when he went by os we have played it up quite a bit. He even received a postcard from "Peter". :) I'm trying to make a point not to clutter up my pages, upon dh's suggestion.

I have a couple of parade layouts on my website...

click on link below (first one) then click on Scrapbooking then on WDW 2002.

 Cass your pages are superb! There is so much originality on your layouts. Stuff I would never have thought of. I love the different patterns and shapes you made with your photos. How long have you been scrapping? And would it be OK to borrow a phrase or two? I could really use "baby you can drive my car" if it's ok with you. :D

Your parade layouts were very helpful. Thank you!

Thanks jenjie! :earsboy: You are more than welcome to "scraplift" anything you like! I would be very flattered if you did!

I started scrapping in November 2000, after our second Disney trip. I just did two WDW albums and a smaller WDW album for a friend and then didn't scrap again until our wdw/cruise 2002 trip. Then I got the bug and have scrapped ever since :p

Good luck with your parade layout!

Are you by chance running the paid copy of Zone Alarm? We run it on our computer & every so often I have to turn it off completely to access some items on the Internet - DIS chat & the photos. I got hte same message until I turned off Zone Alarm.

Great photos & layouts by the way!!

Judith thanks for that thought but I've never heard of Zone Alarm. We have a pop-up stopper but it allows us to view pictures and also view pop-ups if we need to.

Cass thanks for the OK! And based on one of your lo's, I started a color blocking lo. I think it will be good when I'm finished but I need to go back to the store for more colored paper! :p

I've only gotten one Parade page done so far...Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade at AK...I will try and share it tomorrow if I can get my digital to work tonight. I scrap in order, so all my parade pics will have their own layouts...the MGM one will probably be a 2 Pager.

I Apologize as this post is off topic but relates to a comment above in this thread.

Hello Ladies:
I noticed that some of you have problems seeing some websites while you are running a firewall, such as Zonealarm. The reason the site is not showing properly is because of the settings within the program. Sometimes you need to give permission to the browser to load that kind of content.

However, I highly recommend that you NOT shut down your firewall as it exposes your computer to hackers, viruses, and worms especially. Worms can get into your computer from the internet when you shut off your firewall because there is nothing to stop it from entering your computer. Also, with the firewall off, what was once hidden from the worm (your IP address specifically) is now exposed and your computer is able to communicate freely with the worm.

To fix the problem you are having, go to the FIREWALL setting in Zonealarm and make sure your Internet setting is set to HIGH and your 'Trusted Zone Security' is set to Medium or High.
I find that also that if you goto the 'Program Control' tab and set the 'Program Control' from the 'High' setting to the 'Low' setting (which lets the firewall 'learn' which programs need to have certain types of access) works well until everything works normally. After you do this, set it back to high and everything should be ok.

If you need help with this, feel free to email or message me and I would be happy to help. I would hate to see all the Dis'ers get viruses!
TTFN!
