Is that just a little flame? :teeth:

Actually, I started reading it, and have come back to it a couple of times, but I have not read and do not wish to read the entire thread. It's kind of like when you go by a car accident and just have to look.

Something about it just doesn't sit quite right with me. I think it has the possiblity to offend a whole lot of people. But carry on. There are lots of things in the world I don't like; that doesn't mean that they can't continue. But it doesn't mean that I have to like it.

I'm absolutely tickled that my former part-time co-worker who took 6-1/2 weeks paid sick time for a non-existent illness and then came back and refused to pick up her new duties, then was asked by my boss to work full time since she obviously couldn't keep up, and refused and left the job and filed for unemployment was DENIED!

I am a fat woman who likes to wear 2 piece swim suits. If you don't like it, you need to learn how to deal with your reaction.

I have 2 tattoos that show. I intend to get more. Again, If you don't like it, you need to learn how to deal with your reaction.

I do not believe the bible is more than some men's explanation of history. But for those of you that do, I won't argue with you. And please don't try to convince me you are right and I am going to hell for not beileving the "truth".

I wish people were more open minded when it comes to things that don't affect them. When I hear that gay marraige must be banned in order to protect us, I wonder what what we are being protected? For the person who said that gays can go to a JOP, there is no need for a religious ceremony, are you saying that only people married in church weddings are married in your eyes? No flames, I am just curious.

I don't think that everyone has the right to do anything they want in thier own home behind closed doors. Child molestation, abuse, spousal abuse would fall into the privacy rules, and I don't believe those things are right.

I believe that ther is too much empasis on teaching to the test and not enough on learning. I believe that ESL was a very successful program and should be reinstated.

I believe some sport stars and some movie stars are way over paid. I believe that most teachers are underpaid and undervalued. I believe that homeschooled children have a place in society, just as public schooled and private schooled do, but I believe that home schooled children need to pass the same tests in order to recieve their HS equivalancy paper.

I believe it is not my place to call people on poor grammar, spelling, or punctuation.

I believe that I am not any more important than anyone else, however I am not less important, either.

If I have to hear my mom or MIL tell me one more time that they never felt better in their lives than when they were pregnant I'm going to scream!
LOL! I thought my mom was the only one that did that! I had the absolute worst heartburn during most of my preg. Well, mom thought it was sooo strange since all of her preg. were perfect, of course! ;) It wasn't until I joined the moms to be thread that I realized I was actually normal! I have a hard time believing my mom never felt any type of discomfort during any of her 3 preg. I honestly think she just learned to block it out. Ah, again...I really do love my mom! She's my bf aside from dh but she's still able to drive me crazy! :teeth:

I don't usually post on these types of threads but after reading some of these I really feel compelled.

I dislike people calling the President an idiot and a moron, especially celebrities who do it on foreign soil. I did not vote for Clinton but he was the President so I tried to show a little respect.

I dislike liberals making the assumption that if you voted for Bush, and continue to believe that you made the right decision then you are a moron. I never called people that voted for Clinton morons, even though I did not share their beliefs.

I think that the notion of conservatives being heartless, money hungry bigots to be the biggest joke EVER. I am a conservative and most people that I associate with are as well. None of us belong to the "country club" nor have the desire. I believe Republicans want to give people the tools to help themselves rather than put them on the wellfare line for the rest of their lives making them forever dependent on the Gov't.

I think that a liberal calling someone that voted for Bush a moron or calling most conservatives heartless, money hungry bigots, is showing their narrow
minded true colors.

wow i totally agree! and the thing about the country club made me laugh :rotfl: cuz i live near one and have no notion of going to it! wow i feel proud to be a conservitive again :teeth: you should really post more! i like the way you think! :cool1: :flower: :maleficen

A couple more things.

* I dislike that my state taxes me every year on my car. Not only do I pay sales tax when I buy it but then every year they charge me Personal Property Tax. I'VE ALREADY PAID TAXES ON IT!

* I dislike that I had to pay $23 so that the state could inspect the gas cap on my car for their emissions test. I'm all about saving the environment but this is getting old fast.

* I hate working 8 to 5 and I hate cubicles. I think they should be banned!

* I wasn't a big fan of the Star Wars Episode I or II but I love III.

* I have no desire to get pregnant. I want children, but the idea of growing a human inside of me seriously freaks me out. Not to mention that I've never talked to a pregnant woman who didn't have something to complain about in regards to her "condition"

I think that violet, blue, green, yellow, orange and red are the only true colors of the rainbow, and indigo was put in there to confuse us.

i believe that 9.8 meters/second squared isnt just a good idea, its the law.

I once thought that fast cars and fast women were the keys to happiness, now I know they are.

I hate it when I am confronted with a master debater.

I think it is stupid to dislike someone because of their political beliefs.

As I matter of fact, I think it is stupid to dislike someone because of anything that you disagree with.

I may not agree with George Bush most of the time, but that doesn't mean I hate him.

I love animals, but I think that PETA goes a bit overboard.

I love America.

Classic movies beat new movies anyday.

Hot Topic has neat stuff.

I hate when people claim to be anime fans when the only anime they've seen is on [adult swim].

A few more thoughts:

People who assume conservatives are greedy confuse me. Most conservatives I know give generously to charity, as do most of the liberals I know. Neither side is greedier than the other, we just have different view of fiscal policy.

I don't play golf. It added too many unpleasant words to my vocabulary. (As in "#$^&#$!!!! I missed the &#%@$&% ball again!!"). It is therefore it unlikely that you will ever find me at a country club

I love to sing! I am never truly happy if I cant be part of a Choir, Barbershop Quartet or some form of vocal ensemble.

I think sports get way to much emphisis in High School, especially football (the official state religion of Texas).

I think people often forget how to play as they grow up, and that is sad.

Fashion confuses me. Honestly, why are we supposed to care? They're just clothes people. They matter not one jot.

We expect our government to solve too many problems in our society.

There are few things better than the taste of sharp chedder cheese melted over a hot slice of apple pie.

Respect is a 2 way street, but sometimes it feels like no one knows what lane they are supposed to be in.

It bothers me that much of my family thinks I never grew up because I like amusement parts and am not afraid to play. I take care of my reponsibilities and I work hard. I see no reason not to have some fun now and then.

It also bothers me that so many men place such a huge emphisis on sports. I neiether know nor care what teams are playing this weekend, and this actually has had very negative effects on me socially.

Despite all my grousing here, I have been blessed beyond belief and I need to remember that more often.

I know we aren't suppose to flame but man that sounds bad...but I wouldn't be adverse to trying it.

My mother used to say," Apple pie without the cheese is like the kiss without the squeeze." She put cheddar on it every chance she got.

Yup, it sounds awful, but its not. If you want to try it, I recommend Mrs Smiths Deep Dish Apple pie (far superior to her regular pies) that you can get at you local grovcery story, and the sharpest chedder you can find. Cut a slice of pie, grate the chedder over it and allow it to melt (you may need to zap it in the microwave).

BTW, I didn't think your post was a flame.

I dont believe in wealth redistribution. My money is NOT your money.

I dont believe abortion should be legal.

I voted for George twice and dont regret it.
