Say No to Spoodles

I think it is a very bold move to name a thread Say No to Spoodles (or Say No to (insert restaurant of choice). I'm not trying to be mean, but what exactly does one hope to accomplish by posting this?...

They probably LOVE Spoodles & are tired of not being able to get a resi! :lmao:

We have eaten at Spoodles every time we go to WDW since it opened in 1996 and we go to WDW at least 2x a year. We have done bfast, lunch and dinner there. I miss the olives that they would bring out while you were looking at the menu.

We love the food and the service was only bad once.

My dad hates the menu there (he is a burger guy) and asked the waitress if he could get something else and because ESPN is next door, they got him a burger from that resturant.

I am not a person who complains, but if the food is so bad that you can't eat it, you should let someone know. How can they fix a problem if they don't know about it?

Just my 2 cents.

I must say "No" to saying "No" to Spoodles...or something like that. ;)

We cancelled our Spoodles ADR in August so we could have a 2 TS meal later in the week. The 2 TS meal ended up not being worth the extra credit, and we missed one of our favorite restaurants in the process.

Spoodles has become one of our "must do" places - we enjoy it. What suprised me though was that DS (11) - a very picky eater - really liked it as well.

We haven't been yet, but on Monday we're going to Spoodles and I can't wait. I am really looking forward to the Garlic-Lemon Shrimp. :cloud9:

The garlic lemon shrimp is to die for! I wasn't surprised that I loved it since I am a big shrimp eater. But DH tried some and wished he had gotten his own order. And he does not generally care for shrimp DD had the flatbread - boring as usual. Spoodles has become one of our favorites after only one visit! We ate there in August and by the time we got home, I was rearranging ADRs for the November trip so that we could eat there again. DD is not very adventurous when it comes to eating. She had the oak fired kebobs and found the harissa too peppery for her taste. So she trimmed it off (I must admit I did too partway through my meal - just got to be too much for me). So we plan to order without the harissa next trip. It was a bit noisy but not unbearable. We also had breakfast there one morning (staying at the Boardwalk Villas). It was OK - nothing we'd go out of our way for but a decent breakfast.

I am a culinary school graduate.....simple does not mean meat and potatoes or plain Jane....enjoy Spoodles to your hearts content.

I hope that I do enjoy Spoodles. I know when we went in April there were lots of things that we recommended on the boards that I hated, and lots of things that were recommended that I loved. Doesn't make my taste better, or worse, than anyone elses.

We're ALL different and all have different tastes. Nobody is right, nobody is wrong, they're just individual.

The only thing that you said that irked me OP was that you're a culinary school graduate. That implies (to me) that your opinion somehow counts 'more'. Graduating from culinary school does not make your preference any better than anyone elses.

I may end up hating Spoodles, but if I do I am not going to fault anyone else who likes it.

I hope you enjoy Spoodles as much as we do!

I think this thread needs to lighten up. The OP's main complaint was the noise and what I would view as a difference of opinion in creative versus simple dishes. They did have good comments on service and location. I am not a fan of Spoodles and have posted so, so take this for what you will, but in the end, it's just the opinion of the OP. The whole point of these boards is to post opinions...your role is to take it or leave it!
