Say it ain't so, Julie!

Sorry, the pic does not ring a bell. I have only had funnel cake at State fairs.

Julie I am right there with you I've never heard of it till now?:confused3

looks like it could be good

Funnel cake is yummy!!!

I never heard of an elephant ear. To me the only thing I have ever seen was funnel cakes. Originally from PA.

I was never a fan of the beaver tails they had in Epcot.

Kathy, did you ever go to Prantl's? They are in Shadyside (I live down the street from them) They have great elephant ears. The ones like Kevin described. Also the Burnt Almond Torte is to DIE for.

Fried dough to us is the first picture in the thread (elephant ear)

That is the first thing we head for at summer picnic....add some cinnamon sugar and powdered sugar.

The second piece we have we usually make a sundae on top of it (of course that is with the cinnamon sugar and powdered sugar first).

With funnel cake, the ice cream would leak through as it melted. I think that there is a funnel cake kit out there that allows you to make it at home.
