Saw Wicked in Tampa last night

Yes, Nessarose has arms in the musical. What she cannot do is walk. She is in a wheelchair for most of the show. She is given these beautiful shoes by her father. Later in the show, Elphaba gives them power so she can walk. Now you know why the Ruby slippers in the Wizard of Oz were so important to the Witch.

A question for those who saw it in NYC, since this was bugging me. In the tour, they do silver slippers. Now I do know that the original Oz book was silver slippers, and they made them Ruby for the MGM movie (probably to show better in the Technicolor!). But I was thinking the shoes in NYC were ruby? Was I just nuts?

I saw it in NYC several times, and I believe that the shoes were silver.

Wow, you're cutting it close shamrock! Julia starts on March 8th. You will proabably just make seeing Stephanie, whom I hear is incredible, and you'll be seeing it really close to her last day, which are very emotional and exciting performances. Have fun! :woohoo:

Yay! Thanks for the info!
