I don't think I left anything out. That's about $700 for the trip, plus the $170 DDRD. And another $130 in Amazon and other GCs that I can't really use towards the trip. About $1000 altogether. (I suppose technically you need to subtract off about $80 that I spent on Tupperware and other things.)

I've used $400 of the $700 to buy Disney Dollars (used $90 of that towards a 4-day PH Pass). The rest went into the bank to cover trip expenses. My brother is generously paying for our Boma dinner and Cindy's lunch, so we only need to come up with about $200-$300 to pay off our Visa trip charges when we get back.

It's been a pretty good year!

Congrats Sue! That's some great RP-ing there.

Our October trip was moved to May due to some unexpected development here at work so I don't have as long to save now but I have about $50.00 so far. I should have another $25.00 at least by January. But looking at your list is inspirational!

That is awesome!!! Great job!

Thanks, All, for the "pats on the back."

I couldn't have done it without all of you! Really! Thanks for all the great tips over the past year.

DH says I spend too much time online, just to save a few bucks. But he's very happy when I tell him we only need another $200-$300 after the trip to pay things off. That is if I can keep him out of the Virgin Records store at Downtown Disney....

Can you tell where you get the info on test drives? I would really like to do that to earn some money!

TIA

Can I ask you though -- do you shop online? Seems to me you could really accumulate points by doing so.

I don't shop online. I like the immediate satisfaction of having a bag in my hand.

By far those are the best totals I can remember seeing! Congrats!! Have a great trip!!! :wave2:

way to go! you are an inspiration... in looking at different program totals, gives me ideas on what to add to my program.
Have a great trip!

I shop online every chance I get. Especially at the Holidays. I hate going to the mall, and it's near impossible to do on my own with a 2.5 year old and I don't like to go out at night after DH is home. (Well, except for the semi-monthly trips to WalMart & Target, but DS is usually left at home with Pap then.) Of course I look for the best possible "deals" online and use coupon codes for free shipping, etc. I was actually out last Friday before dawn with all the other "crazy ladies" to get Fisher-Price toys half-off at Kohl's, and when I didn't find everything there I drove to Target. But that's mainly because I'm going away and didn't want packages to arrive when I'm not here and didn't want to have to worry about shopping for DS when I got back. But I will be ordering a few things online (that I've only seen online) while I'm away so they can arrive when we get back. :)

I like the thrill of a package arriving on my doorstep.... ;)

Awesome totals, Sue! It must be a great feeling to know that you were able to pay for almost all of your trip by doing rewards! Kuddos to you for being so successful!

I've been thinking ... that maybe I should re-think my whole "not shopping online so I can have the immediate satisfaction of a bag in my hand". Packages on the doorstep are good and a trip to Disney is even better! ::yes::

That'll be my goal for the New Year - shopping online instead of at B&M.

:D

I love to do it online. Always do things you can get the free shipping its the same price! Maybe less if you find an online coupon you wouldn't have for the store.

The only problem I find with shopping online has been Tupperware. Do I NEED all that tupperware? And frankly, I think its kind of pricey myself. Not to mention the fact my tupperware orders the last two times (one for a GC and one for the item I bought) have not been added to my MyPoints account and I am afraid to bug them about it after the nastygram they sent out to another RP-er on here. Anyway, I have to reel myself in on that one but with everything else, I try to get it online if I can get it online. Those points add up. I don't drive so I can't test drive so I have to get them where I can!

Sue, your totals give me hope for my RP-ing! Thanks for sharing them! :teeth:

I try to be very good about the Tupperware. I did buy the swizzle sticks last year, and now they're burried in a cabinet somewhere. But I've only bought three "big" things--the Thasta Bowl (on sale), the 9x12 container (on sale--I forget what it's really called), and the rectangular cake taker (not on sale, but with the $25 gift pack). I've also bought both recipe books--haven't made anything yet, but some things look interesting. I certainly don't buy it for the sake of "getting points." I don't "need" the Tupperware.
