*** savings account ????

I've had my account for awhile and have had to take some money out. I never had any problems taking it out, it was very easy to do. This has been such a great way to save.

shelly3girls~When I signed up my daughter's account I entered my information as a joint account holder for her account. So both of our accounts are linked to my checking account. I received my bonus and she received the $25 in her account. Hope this helps :D

If I signed up as a joint account holder with DH can I still send him the $25 referral for his own individual account or is it too late?
Thanks!

I signed up for an account with only my name on it and referred my DH. When we opened DH's account, I was added as the joint owner. The 30-day waiting period has passed and his account has the $25 signup bonus and I was credited for the referral bonus.

I'm not sure if it will work doing it the other way around. It may appear as if he is referring himself, since his name already exists on one account. But, you have nothing to lose by trying, right?

I have had an ING account for a couple months but never "got" the referral thing until reading this thread.

The original account was set up to be for my son, but after reading the advice hear, i set up a second under his name with me as the join holder, made the referral and it all went through. Now I will transfer the money that is "his" into the new account and use the original for our Disney Savings.

So, 24 more referrals to go!

Can I just tell you that I am so glad that we already paid for our airfare and park tickets for June and most of all that I opened the ING account back in January and have saved some money because my husband is more than likely to go on strike at work within the next 2 weeks (he works for SBC) and we still need to pay for hotel and car and have money for food and souvenirs
thanks to my ING account, we won't be too bad off while away
:) when he was on strike last time it was for 18 days and we only had 1 child and 1 car and had to live on $200 a week now, we have 2 kids and 2 cars and they want us to live on $200 a week again  so, if it lasts for longer than a week that will really stink and put us a little behind on some stuff:( luckily, I have a couple of rewards programs that will get me some dining g.c.'s
and 2 survey sites that I will expect checks from and I will throw that in my ING account as well, you just never know when you'll need emergency money or how lucky you are to have this account until something like this happens;) so, if you have a little
extra money lying around and can get some for things like selling on EBAY and such it's a good idea to open a savings account in general and not touch it until you really need it, ING will be a lifesaver in this case. thanks for hearing my sob story.
Maryann :)

I know we can no longer solicit the board but how are some of you seeking referrals. I was just wondering because I am trying to build up my account and it is really slow.

Just curious:chat:

Friends, family, co-workers. I don't actively pursue referrals but if asked, I send one. I've actually put way more into my account thru eBay and a regular program of automatic deposits.

I guess I don't quite understand--you got referrals through EBay?

NO! I have built up my account more thru eBaying profits and automatic deposits than thru referrals. The amount I've gotten from referrals is actually quite small in comparison.

Hey, I just looked it up on EBay and there are several people selling referrals for a small amount, like .01 cents each. That just doesn't seem quite kosher to me. Actually selling the referrals seems to me to be illegal, even if its for one cent. Personally, I woulsn't touch that one with a ten-foot pole!:scared1:

I don't think they are really selling them-a lot of the auctions say "you do not have to pay me for this just send me your name and e-mail address." I think 1 cent is just the lowest amount to list something at and still get people to see it.
