Saving your photos/videos during trip

As we will be taking iPads I have decided to leave the macbook at home and save carrying it.

The only downside is that I will not have an option to download photos and videos for processing dueing our trip.
Bit concerned with this as DS lost his camera last trip to WDW and we kissed goodbye to 1,500.

I realise I could upload photos to the likes of Photobucket each day. But would I be able to redownload at home for processing?

What options do I have to upload video? I am using a Sony HDR-CX115

Image hosting sites make changes to your file when you upload them. Some, like Smugmug and Zenfolio only make minor changes. Others like Photobucket make major changes. But the bottom line is you will not be able to download the same file you uploaded.

If you want the same file available for download try a cloud storage service like Dropbox. Many have iOS and Android apps so you can upload from a mobile device.

Amazon now has cloud storage. It is kind of prissy but you can get storage by the TB so it can back up pretty much anything. We back everything up to our amazon cloud now.

The video camera records great o memory card. Though DS fancied completing a daily blog.
As we are going for 3 weeks we do not have that much memory cards

You might want to check if the resort you are staying at offers a computer station that can be used or rented? If they do you could bring an external hard drive and back up all your cards onto it. In the past I believe I read that some of the parks photo centers, for a fee, could back up your photos onto a CD/DVD. It's possible that they have the ability to back up onto a external drive. There are also devices/drives that have a card reader built into them.

I admire the fact that you feel comfortable enough about staying at WDW for 3 weeks without a laptop. There is no way I could go a week without the ability to back up all of my photos/videos, let alone more than a day. If it weren't for my need to BU, I could easily survive the week with just my Ipad.
