Thank you! Actually, my husband booked our room and got our 4 day hopper tickets already(or whatever they are called now). Though now, he is thinking of adding to our stay, to see more. We will be staying off site at the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird. Any suggestions on saving while in the parks would be great!!! I have seen both you can and cannot take water/snacks into the parks. Anyone know??

Thank you!

Haven't read thruough the replys yet so don't know if this has been answered for sure. I can tell you that we even bring a soft sided ice chest (it's a Disney one, got it on clearance through the Disney store last summer) into the parks with us. We keep gatorade & water in it. Also bring in a couple of snacks when we want to. Security checks it and sends us on our way.

Bringing in drinks is a great money saver.

No Disney hotels offer a free continental breakfast unless you are staying in Concierge level.

I want to thank everyone for all their suggestions!! I have been writing everything down in a notebook I keep here on the desk. I think with eating in our room in the mornings or doing the breakfast they have there, and taking our own water and snacks, that will help alot. And like someone suggested, I think I am going to purchase alot of "Disney" related items before we go, and leave them for the kids in the mornings or evenings. That will really work well for my 8 year old son, and my 4 year old daughter. It might be a little tougher for my 13 and 15 year old, but thats ok! I also had previously written down the suggestion to do the character thing at the ice cream place in Epcot. I am just so excited about this trip. And I know with planning, it will all be fine and on budget!! Thanks again!

Hi :cool1:
I took my younger cousins to Busch Gardens last summer. I had a backpack with a rubber bottom. I froze gatorade juice boxes and put them in my backpack along with fresh fruit and granola bars. You will feel so much better going around the parks with gatorade, fruit and granola bars to snack on rather than eat the high sugar stuff and drink soda all day. Also if you are going to a grocery store get a styrofoam cooler and keep breakfast and sandwich stuff and snacks in there.
Hope you all have a great time.
