If you are flying out in the morning, you might consider a "stay and park" option at a hotel near the airport. We did this a few times out of Washington/Dulles for Orlando. We would finish packing after work, drive to the hotel, chreck in, and have a leisurely dinner. We could leave the car in the hotel parking lot for up to two weeks (as long as we had a special card from the hotel on the dash). We were even able to get a special discount rate at the hotel (such as $79 at the Dulles Marriott). When we would get up in the morning we would have breakfast and then the hotel's shuttle to the terminal. When we returned, usually the shuttle would drop us directly at our car.
This allowed us to do a check of what we had packed before we left. One trip I did have to drive back home for something we had forgotten to pack.
Also, we had times with a 7:30am flight so we skipped breakfast and took the shuttle to the terminal at about 6:15 and then grabbed soemthing to eat after we had checked in and cleared security.
