So, we saw a few more commercials on TV for Saving Mr. Banks, and my mom and dad are completely set on going to see it. They think it looks like a good movie and such, but really, I'm not looking forward to it. It's pretty much a movie about the making of one of my least favorite Disney movies, Mary Poppins. Yeah, I know, it's a classic and such, I've just never liked it like I've liked Cinderella and such.

So, what are your thoughts on the movie? Planning on going to see it? Got high expectations?

I saw a commercial for it on YouTube months ago, and thought it looked fun. I'm not sure I'll like it because the author is very... uh... Touchy about turning it into a movie.

Yes, she is, but after my mom explained it to me, she had a good reason to be so touchy. It doesn't look like a bad movie, it just doesn't really catch my eye.

My grown son and I went to see this movie not really knowing what it was about, what a pleasant surprise. It made me cry laugh cry laugh and a bit ashamed to be English until I discovered that PL Travers was Australian. Great movie definatley recommend it.

I really want to see it! I'm not much of a fan of Mary Poppins either, but I like the idea behind Walt making a movie after her because she WAS REAL! I personally think it will be pretty good.

I want to see it because Tom Hanks just seems like the perfect Walt Disney.

I'm not sure if I'll like it or not, I saw an interview Tom Hanks did where he said they tried to make the movie as realistic as possible, but I know P. L. Travers did not like the way Disney's Mary Poppins movie turned out so I wonder if they'll portray that accurately or not.

I personally love Disney's Mary Poppins so I'm excited

I love love love mary poppins, so as soon as I saw the first preview of saving mr.banks, I was set on going to see it. Mary Poppins has always been one of my very favorites, so it was already near and dear to my heart. I saw it yesterday and almost cried three or four times watching it. It really is such a heartfelt movie with such a rich background on PL Travers. I adored it. Tom Hanks did a good job at Walt Disney, too, which is an incredibly big pair of shoes to fill.

I'm not sure how this is going to make me cry, so I'm a little nervous. But it sounds good still.

Honestly, I'd rather go and see Frozen again rather than Saving Mr. Banks if I had time to go to the theater

I saw it today. I usually do not like movies with Tom Hanks, but I actually enjoyed it!

I want to see it! For me though the reason isn't because of the plot or Mary Poppins, it's because this is the first time Walt is being portrayed in a movie. I can't wait to see him brought to life and I already love Tom Hanks so I'm sure he'll do a fantastic job. Plus I've always been more interested with the behind the scenes stuff at Disney, so I'm excited to see what went into making Mary Poppins.

I'm not a huge Mary Poppins fan, but I want to see it. It's more about the process and Walt Disney (Like.most of you) is one of my heroes. Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors too. I think I'm seeing it tommorrow or Friday. The DISUnplugged team really liked it.

I love Mary Poppins, and I actually heard about this movie while on a tour in Magic Kingdom this past May. Anyway, I'm going to see it soon and am really looking forward to it. My brother doesn't like the fact that Walt Disney is being portrayed on screen, though, but I don't think I'll mind.

Everyone I know that has seen it has said it's amazing. My boyfriend and I are definitely planning on checking it out soon.

It was a great movie! Warning, it's a lot more dramatic and sad then I expected. I still enjoyed it and highly recommend seeing it.

I saw it today and thought it was really good! I loved how they made it a lot of "behind the scenes" of Mary Poppins

We saw it on Christmas day and I absolutely LOVED it! I especially loved at the end on the credits with her real conversations

I saw this film yesterday and I really liked it! I have never been a huge Mary Poppins fan but it was still very fun to see. There were a few sad, tearjerking moments I wasn't expecting, but there was plenty to laugh about as well! I'd definitely recommend it.
