For our trip we bought some of the Disney meal vouchers and also some Planet Hollywood and HRC vouchers as well.
For Planet Hollywood we bought $60 worth of vouchers (receiving $2 rebate per $10 voucher) and we had our DC card for a 10% discount. Our bill was $66 less the 10% took it down to $60 which we used our $60 worth of vouchers which after our rebate we only paid $48 for the meal ($18 in savings).
At the HRC we had a coupon for a free entree ($9 burger for ds) then we used $70 in vouchers ($2 rebate per $10 voucher) so that was another $14 in savings ($23 in total savings).
We also used 2 ad and child Vvacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers at RFC--we had a great waiter who let us oder the kids meal from the adult menu. For appetizers we had 2 quesedillas and 1 fried cheese, for the meal we had 1 rack mojo bones and 2 surf & turf and for dessert we used 2 vouchers for the volcano and we were so stuffed. We had one extra dessert left so we ordered chocolate cake and gave it to another family (mom & dad with 4 very small ones, lol).
We used our Q&C vouchers at Pepper Market 3 of us had the $17.95 steak--plus our drinks and dessert. One ds had rotisserie chicken.
We saved some good money using the vouchers and all of our servers were very helpful!

Thanks for the info. I am thinking about getting one adult and one child lunch voucher for RFC. But I worry about asking for the surf and turf since its not on the menu. What was your experience like? I am afraid the waiter will say, "Yeah, right!" Also, I don't like lobster and want to substitute the coconut shrimp. Do you think that would be a problem?

We are staying at Coronado, so I am looking forward to getting some of those $17.95 steaks.

Maggie--it shouldnt be a problem at all. Our waiter didnt give us any trouble--he was very helpful--and I have read about many others having very helpful waitstaff. We didnt try to substitute anything but they have several great things to pick from. You cna always ask--the worst they can say is no then you just pick something else. Maybe you would like the Maya Mixed Grill with Mojo Bones, Grilled Shrimp and Tuscan Chicken. Its still a good deal with the voucher.
They some other good deals at Pepper Market also like Fajita's, a good deal with the vouchers too.

some one posted about getting the primal steak with an add on of coconut shrimp with the voucher but personally I'll take the lobster! that is one meal my husband will not be picking meat for! ( we are splitting) also the RFC safari club seems like a great deal ( just joined and she told me the coupons never really expire, they'll still take them as we do not have a RFC around our home) and some have used the birthday coupons with the vouchers. we are going to use the $10 one for breakfast and i am hoping for a birthday one too if they get my stuff done in time ( big "50" in 10 days, Uck)

edited because I got sidetracked by the lobster and forgot my question ( they need an air head smilie for me!) what is the dif. between the simple escape and kingdom vouchers please? thanks::blush:

SImple Escapes is the company I had the membership through--they are just like Connections. I bought the Kingdom vouchers through them.
The membership is expensive though $149 per year. I only joined last time because they gave me a $50 Wal-mart gift card and a few other vouchers. I may go with the Hot Wire saving club this time around.

We just ate there this past Monday (Oct. 6) for an early dinner (4pm). I had purchased one adult VKL voucher for my mom and I and one child VKL voucher for my DS (9) and DD (6).

We were allowed to order from the adult menu using the child voucher. Mom and I shared shrimp cocktail for the appetizer and the top sirloin steak with both coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi and mashed potatos for an entree. The kids shared cheese sticks for an appetizer and the same entree as us. We ordered the Volcano dessert using both vouchers. All in all we saved $38 on this one meal alone. I couldn't believe it! :hyper: This was by far the biggest savings on a meal of all the places we ate.

Also, I'm pretty sure that I saw the steak and lobster on the menu. ($39.99) ::yes::
