Saving Money at Restraunts??

So my family and I ( DD12 and DH ) are staying at the Beach Club for 7 nights, 8 days, and absolutely love Epcot. We decided this year to try to eat at the restraunts around the world that we haven't already eaten at. The thing is, money is tight as everyone knows and we aren't quite sure if some of the restraunts would be worth the money. DD12 is a pickie eater, DH will eat most, and for me I am fine with practically whatever is given. So can someone help us on saying if these restraunts are worth the reservation and money.

Restraunts we booked:
1. Japan 2:40- a Thursaday
2. Morocco 2:40- a Friday
3. UK Rose and Crown 3:00- a Saturday

And if we do cancel one of these do you think Germany would be a better choice ( we have never eaten there before either and did not book )

If your 12 year old is picky I'd skip Morocco and pick Germany.I know my kids mow young adults would not have eaten Morroccon food at 12.Too exotic.Germany has a lot of foods kids will eat like chicken and roast pork.Great desserts.

You can go to www.allears.net and look at the menus for all of the restaurants in WDW. They even include pricing. Take a look at the restaurants you've chosen and see if there's anything the kids would eat.

I took my kids, then 9 and 11, to Morocco for dinner. I still haven't heard the end of it. They are not picky eaters but absolutely hated it. They love Germany, however, and we tend to go there almost every trip.

We went to Germany for the first time this year and I have to say that it was one of the only Disney restaurants that none of us (5 people)a liked. We are not picky eaters, but felt the selection was not great, the "show" was not very engaging and it was very expensive.

My kids actually love Teppanyaki. They also really liked Mexico...not the indoor restaurant (forget the name), but the counter service outside where you can sit by they lake. We shared a few items and had a great time.

Strange how everyone's experiences are so different. My dd has been to Disney more times than she can count, but we just did Morocco for the first time last year when she was 12. She actually loved her food way more than I did.

I thought I was going to be the only one to say that I thought Morocco was MUCH better than Germany. I just really didn't care for all the heavy German foods... And who doesn't like cous cous? The entertainment was way better in Morocco too.

Our kids just don't care about food much. You could save a lot of money by eating at counter service. You could still enjoy Epcot without eating at a sit down restaurant.

My kids were 11, 8 and 4 and loved Germany. I did not!

The best way to save money would be to eat counter service at the places you suggested. It's nice to sit down in the restaurants (we've yet to do counter at Epcot) but the price tag is so much higher. We were so disappointed in Norway Storybook dining this April that we vowed we were going to eat around the world from park benches in Epcot next year.

We went to Morocco a couple years ago and HATED it!!! And, we are very adventurous eaters! The food was just SO bland. Blech. Save your money.

My vote would be to drop Morrocco and eat at Tangeriene cafe (CS) instead. You could order one or two platters, see if it is in your childrens likes and order more if they like it. As for another choice, I would say Teppan Edo! It is good!!

Morocco - Every restaurant gets mixed reviews here. We ate at the CS in Morocco and dd4 and ds1 both loved it. I got the combo platter (~$15) and shared with both kids and we still had some food leftover. Didn't try the TS but the CS was very good. Then again, hummus and baba ghanoush (sp?) are a staple in my fridge and both my kids love that too.

Japan - if you have hibachi places near where you live, you can get the same food for cheaper so don't bother going there. If you don't have hibachi places nearby, it'll be fun and good.

the lamb platter at Tangerine is like eating gyros.

I love the Moroccan food, but my kids don't care for the texture as much when they ate there. They LOVE the german place (but hey we are german so this is the type of food they get at a lot of family gatherings). If you like Mediterranean styled food, I would choose Kouzzinas over eating at epcot (except for the cs lamb platter that is worth the trip)

The Rose and Crown is very good. I had the battered pork last week and it was heavenly!!

If I was saving money, I'd definately skip anywhere you can't share. Teppan Edo is expensive (and most regions have a teppan restaurant or two local for cheaper) and I don't think they let you share (I may be wrong). Biergarten is a buffet - buffets are expensive because you can't order "cheap," Rose and Crown is English food - ever go to an English restaurant? There is a reason for that - the best English food is Indian.

Instead I'd counter service - and I'd snack so everyone gets lots of tastes of lots of food.

I adore lamb, which is a staple in both english and scottish food. After that CHEESE!! again another staple. Oh and potatoes, yes give me potato and leeks in soup form, pot pie any day.

The cheese tray at R&C is horrible (or was when we were there). I like English cheese, this was not worth it. I love leeks, but again, not executed well at R&C. I've eaten there twice, and I wouldn't make an effort to eat there if budget were a priority.

The counter service Fish n' Chips is better than the sit down JMHO......Not many folks know you can order Fish n' Chips inside the pub (at the bar) they give you a number, and bring it to your table (with a serving of tartare sauce and ketchup). For the same price as ordering outside. And the beer is served in a real glass!
