I'm wondering if anyone has done Disney themed STD's. If you have any pictures, I'd love to see them, or if you just have ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thank you all in advance. princess:

We did magnets custom printed from a seller onEbay, I took inkjet greeting cards affixed a wallet size photo to the front with ribbon & placed the STD magnet inside, here is a scan of the magent (sorry for the poor quality but you get the idea!)

The magnets were .45 a piece, so the total cost of our save the dates was about $1.37 with mailing. The few extra magnets I have stuck on the fridge, & at work on my filing cabinet!

Those are awesome! and so clever! :)

We also did std magnets the seller had regular cards too and the themes were cinderella ,mickey & minnie, and snow white. You got to choose which graphic and wording you wanted. Here's a pic and the link : http://stores.ebay.com/Designs-by-Heidi

Heidi did ours too as well as a door hanger for the honeymoon!

Has anyone used the save the dates Disney gives you? If so what do the look like and say? Thanks a bunch!

The Save the Dates Disney sends out are on Fairytale letterhead & are more or less an information packet with basic wedding info, hotel info, ticket info etc. I wanted to get an idea of who was coming prior to the 8th month mark when the disney STD's are sent. If you want to see a sample of what they send out i wold be glad to show you, just pm or email me kt27@optonline.net

The save the date letters disney sends out are very nice, but pretty simple and basic. The paper is of nice quality, but like KT27 mentioned, they definately are more of an information packet.

I think the magnets are a fantastic idea for STD reminders, but for etiquette purposes, how long in advance should you send them? I think I read somewhere for destination weddings that it should be around 8 months in advanced for airline and hotel booking. Is that about right?

We decided to save the money on any additional STDs. We got a lot of response right off the bat from the ones Disney sent out. Unfortunately, a number of guests thought they were the actual invitations... somehow or rather a dozen of them missed the, "Formal Invitation to Follow," at the bottom of the page.

I lost our's and needed to send someone the informaiton just today- I had to retype the information from the one in the contract! So, what's included is a centered announcement that you're getting married, when, and where. The second page was the Magical Express informaiton. The third was the form for booking information and room rates. The last was the ticket rates. It really is an informaiton package, but it really answers a lot of questions as for many it's, "How much? When? Can I get the time off?".

Happy planning!
