Im not sure whether to use the save the dates that Disney send out or pay to have some made? I really like the ones from Sassy dessign co but ive been waiting for over 2 months though, just not sure if its worth the hassle.

For those who used the Disney save the dates, were you happy with them?

all my guests loved the disney save the date ones. Due to questions tho I also sent out my newsletter about a week later that further explained hotel and other information.

I emailed Sassy designs for my invites and at first she got back with me but then never heard form her again even with two other emails sent to her. I ended up going thru someone else.

They were more like an informational packet, which the guests liked....it had a brochure (sp) and then room info--- I am using Sassy for invitations, and I know it must take her a while since she does custom invitations. If I were you I would add a newsletter, actually I sent a letter before the disney info....just giving the date of the wedding and just that they would be getting info from disney on rooms etc. I had a lot of people who were asking if they needed to make reservations....

I also have written to Sassy Designs several times with no reply. I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering there at this point, as it seems very unreliable from the feedback I've heard recently. ~Ev

Disney save the dates are perfectly fine.

In Sassy Designs defense.....she really is very professional. Once you are on her list of clients she will get back to you and work with you every step of the way. Their work is very professional and outstanding. Problem is she does this almost as a second job so she having a ton of clients is difficult. To be honest because of the recent discussions of her excellent work they have been bombarded with requests. If you can wait - Do so! I can honestly say I would not have been happy going somewhere else.
Sorry just my own 2 cents... ;) She si just very busy at the moment.

I have time, im just a bit concerned as im from the UK my guests need to book their flights etc a bit more quickly. I think i'll wait abit longer for sassy designs, i didnt realise that the disney one was more information as most of my guests are not booking hotel rooms through disney etc so it may be better to not have those.

I think that they will send them anyway- I do not know what your budget is, but maybe you should just do some save the dates on the computer or something, they are quick and then do your invitations from Sassy?

The Disney save the dates look pretty comprehensive and I love the new design (not sure how long that style is going to last though becuase it is the happiest celebration ones that my sm gave me?) Anyway since I have heard it takes Disney a couple of weeks to send them out I am going to send my own newsletter along with a magnet from magnet street and I am using the "happily ever after" magnet.

They are only about $2 each (only thing is there is a 50 min order) and I thought it would be nice since they are getting the newsletter and stuff from Disney it would be something they could just put on the fridge as a reminder! You couls also easily make your own magnets.Good luck.

Pixie's reply seems to indicate that the style has changed...i don't know if it is different from mine. They sent mine out pretty quickly. I thought they were very pretty--not real elegant. My sister in law (who is taiwanese and doesn't speak much english) got hers (they mailed it to Taiwan!!) and described it as magical advertisement. Some of my guests thought it was junk mail and never looked at it. Others just plain didn't know how to do it. I thought it was pretty straight forward but I got A LOT of calls asking for help on how to book a room and where do they get park tickets, so who knows? For me it was economical and efficient...

i used disney's save the dates...ppl loved them. plus i thought it gave more of a 'disney fairytale feel' right from the beginning
