Hi all!
Long time lurker here. Just thought I would pass along some money saving info that I took advantage of today. With travel plans being cancelled left and right, now is a good time to check your existing reservations for some savings. I saved about $150 on my flight and hotel today. Happy savings hunting!

We are travelling end of April and so far it does not seem many people have cancelled much around those dates as hotel availability still seems limited. Perhaps it will change when it gets closer to the dates so I will keep checking.

I was able to "change" to the same flights on SWA and got a credit of 30k points for my family's flights at end of May.

Perhaps a dumb question but since they keep changing policies I will ask anyway. I assume you booked with points to begin with ??

I just got 3000 points on SWA back on our flight in June. We're only coming from Sacramento so it wasn't that expesnive to start with. Still nice to have it be even less though.

Yes, if you book with points, you get points back. If you book a "Wanna Get Away" fare you get a travel voucher. If you book the other fares, you get a refund. At least that's how it was a couple of weeks ago.

Yep, I got $200 and 4500 points back on my flights yesterday by changing them.

I wanted to see if I could get a cheaper rate on my hotel but it's sold out for my stay and I couldn't find anything for a lower rate.

I saved $280 on my Park Vue reservation! Rates were sky high when I booked. That is for only 4 nights.

I keep checking all of my upcoming reservations. We have vegas next week, and LA/Disneyland twice next month. No reductions for us yet

Rebooked our hotel and car for a visit next week. Saved about $30/night at Hotel Indigo, and $100 for the rental car.

I just saved $100 for my rental car and changed my hotel from a MOtel to a HOtel for the same price. My trip is planned for Mid April. Here's hoping we can get this virus under control by then.
