Please help!! I've booked All-Star Movies for the first week of May, but now these codes came out. If we go in Feb I'll cut $300 off our resort stay and another $300 off airfare. But I want to avoid crowds. First I was thinking the first week of Feb, but heard about Mardi Gras & Superbowl weekend. So now I'm thinking Feb 13-19 (leaving on the 19th). Will I beat the Pres. Day crowds? Pres. Day is Feb. 21. I want to decide tonight and change my reservations. DH worked all night and day and is still asleep! I need someone to talk to!!

We just stayed (well a few months ago now :) ) at the ASMv the first 2 weeks of May. The crowds were very managable and the temps were awesome. It only rained 1 day out of the 9 we were at the parks!

We have been to WDW several times in Jan, Feb and early March. The weather was only a problem once. (Chilly and Rainy) We've been to EPCOT on Superbowl Sunday and had the place to ourselves, it was great. The crowds are usually very light at this time of year and only pick up on the weekends but even then I wouldn't exactly call them "crowds". This year we are going earlier, Jan 29-Feb 4 and don't expect it to be any different. I would seriously consider going in Feb. and saving the $600 for your NEXT trip!!!

Another vote for February--the crowds are light and the weather is pleasant. Jackets are nice at night, but we did fine with just shirt sleeves during the day.

$600 is a huge savings in my book.

We go every year in Feb. We always arrive the week before Presidents Day and stay until after the holiday weekend. Parks are great up until Sat. Then the crowds can be huge. We did Epcot the Thurs before Presidents day and it was great. We made the mistake of going to MK and MGM over the weekend and it was a nightmare. Never again on the holiday. We have always had great weather with the exception of this year. While we had a couple of warm days, the rest of the time was unseasonably cold. Upper 50s low 60s. Not horrible but not swimming weather. It isn't stopping up from going again in Feb. 2005 though, as the other 4 years have been warm!

I think the week before Presidents Day would be a great time to go. I would avoid MK on Saturday if you are going to a park at all on your last day. Think of all the fun things you can do with that $600.

Mardi Gras Day falls on Tuesday, February 8, 2005

Remember Mardi Gras moves around each year - since it is connected to Easter. Mardi Gras is 40 days (not including Sundays) before Easter - because it is the day before Ash Wednesday.

I think it depends on what kind of weather you want. The weather in May will be great swimming weather. The weather in February could be iffy - but you may be able to swim.

With that in mind - I guess it then depends on how important the savings are to you.

Good luck with your decision! :)

In your shoes, I'd go in Feb. and save the $600. We will be down there during the time frame you would. (Feb. 11-20) My previous experiences of going in Feb. have been excellent. Plus Feb. comes SOONER than May! ;)

Either way you choose sounds like a good plan. Let us know what you decide. Good luck! :D
