Savannah views at AKL value studios?

How many savannah rooms are there at the AKL in value studios? Does anyone know the room numbers for the value studio savannah views?

I think there are 2 sav views with value studios. but that might be dedicated only - not lock out.

So, if I am interpreting this correctly, since our reservation says that it is for a dedicated value studio, I am NOT going to have a parking lot view!? Our studio is only for one night and then we move to a 1BR value, but at least we won't have a parking lot view for one night. I requested a pool view for our 4 nights in the 1BR. I figured since most people will request the savanna view, I might have a better chance of getting a pool view. I just DON'T want to look at a parking lot. DH is still not thrilled that I "conned" (as he puts it) him into purchasing DVC. Since he has never stayed at AKV, I really want him to like it as much as I do. I don't think a parking lot view for his first stay will really "wow" him.

In theory, yes. There have been a couple of cases where people reported booking a dedicated studio and getting a lockoff (or vice versa) but that was in AKV's early days so maybe it was due to the room assigner getting used to all the booking categories!

Thanks, LisaS for the wonderful room outline. I just reserved yesterday a 2br standard view in Jambo House for 7/19 - 7/23 (on the waitlist for the night of the 24th).

After reading these boards, I thought that all of the 2 bedroom standard views had a savanna or pool view in Jambo. When I made the ressie, the CM told me that was incorrect, that it also could be parking lot view, so we put a request for a pool view on our reservation. If I am reading the map of the rooms correctly, it appears that there would only be two 2 bedrooms that face the parking lot in Jambo. Am I correct? If that is the case, I think our odds are pretty good that we would NOT get the parking lot view.

Also, is it just the 5th & 6th floor that are DVC? Are the lower floors still regular rooms?

I vaguely remember that the 2 parking lot views were for CRO cash, not DVC members. That no DVC members got parking lot views. Or is that wishful thinking? So I may get a parking lot view unless it's a dedicated studio?

Simba's Mom - I hope you are correct. Perhaps someone can verify. I see on the map that the 2 bedrooms I am referring to are lockoffs (I think all the 2 bedrooms are). So a dedicated studio would not be part of this configuration.

My DH really doesn't want to risk it and wants to change our reservation, but I still feel positive that if there are only 2 of these 2 bedrooms that face the parking lot, we'll be OK.

I remember reading a couple of trip reports where people got the parking lot view. I haven't seen any recent reports however.
