I was born, raised, and still live in Savannah and I love it here!
If you want to eat at Lady and Sons (Paula Deen's restaurant), be prepared to wait. There is always a long line but worth it.
Someone also mentioned "The Pirate's House". It is great, but I would go during lunch. They have a WONDERFUL buffet and it is alot cheaper than going at dinner time (no buffet). If you go, be sure and ask your waiter about a tour. They will give you a free tour of the restaurant after you finish your meal. They will tell you about the history and all of the spooky things that have happened there.
Savannah also offers historical and ghost tours which are great. The walking ghost tour at night is the best. You can take tours on a bus, trolly, horse drawn carriage, or hearse tour. That is right, hearse

. You can get all of this information at the visitor's center.
There is also a lot of Historic house museums. The Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace museum is interesting (founder of the girl scouts). I used to work there in college.
River Street and City Market have a lot of great restaurants and shops. Vinnie's pizza is the best.
Tybee Island is not far either, if you would like to go to the beach. If you are visiting in the next few months you might catch Miley Cyrus (Hanna Montana) at Tybee. She is currently filming a movie.
Send me a message and let me know what you are interested in doing and I will send you some infomation. I love living in Savannah and sharing it with others.
Have a great trip.
