I am filling in for Lauri today! I hoping she feels better! :wizard:

Okay, we talked about favorite books, so lets see which genre is most popular! :3dglasses

I'll start, it used to be bodice rippers for me, but I am into scrapbooking magazines right now! :)

Bodice rippers for me.

and cookbooks... :confused3

I read a lot of different books, but my favorites and the ones I read the most are suspense. But sometimes I throw a little sci-fi and oprah's book club types in the mix.

I love suspense books! I read a lot of the bodice-rippers in the summer, but the suspense books are my favorites! :thumbsup2

Interpreting Journals
Sci-Fi
Bible
Educational resource material
Historical novels
Mysteries

I've discovered a few authors that combine mystery with bodice ripping...how can it get better????? :thumbsup2

I don't read nearly as much as I should or as I used to (that darn TV is rotting my brain!) but when I do I'm kind of eclectic. I worked in a library all through high school and college so I read anything that crossed my path that looked interesting. I like nonfiction a lot more than fiction, because if the fiction doesn't grab me in the first couple pages I lose interest. I stick to authors I know I like for fiction. My favorites are John Irving, Maeve Binchy and Elizabeth Berg. For nonfiction, I read a lot of travel books/travel writing (planning for all the places I want to go one day besides Disney).

I don't get nearly enough time as I would like to read. Before a vacation, I love to go pick out a good suspense type book - good, fast poolside read!

If I think I'll have time for more than one book - what a luxury! - I might go for a historical drama or an "Oprah's book club" type book.
