We want to spend a day at Magic Kingdom either before our Cruise or after.

What do you think would be best?

Saturday, November 22nd

Sunday, November 30th

Unfortunately these our only 2 options.

Do you think everyone is on their way home on Sunday and the crowds will be lower or does it really matter?

Thanks.

I would go for the Sunday. More people will be likely to leave on Sunday and if they have already left on Saturday all the better for you.

I have been Thanksgiving weekend and the crowds are unbearable. I would go for the Saturday before.

I would go the Sunday after...
Last year, we went in to MK on the Saturday before just to see the fireworks and it was crazy! :scared1:
It was wall-to-wall people moving as one unit down Main St. I can't tell you if it was that busy all day, or if it got busy that evening...but I will NEVER go again on that night!
We left the Sunday after...and judging by the traffic that we were in from Florida to WV (where we stopped for the night), so did a lot of other people. I have never been in that much traffic for the entire route home. The Sunday after Thanksgiving is known as the busiest travel day of the year...and I believe that it is...
:goodvibes

We went to Disney last year for the Friday - Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The crowds on the weekends were not bad at all! We had a great time, got on all the rides and got to do almost everything we wanted to do. Things didn't get bad until Tuesday- that was our day at MGM and we didn't get on any of the good rides b/c all of the Fast Passes were sold out. But I wouldnt worry about the weekend before Thanksgiving- we had no problems at all then!

I would check the park hours and go on Sunday too. Many guests tend to go home on Sundays after their Thanksgiving vacation, and many won't use a ticket to spend that "final" day in the parks.

We went in 06 arrived T-day, the parks were crazy on Friday, less people on Saturday and even less on Sunday. Sunday would be the day I picked.

We are going again same time this year and are not even thinking about going to a park before Sunday doing some off site stuff.

I have been to WDW every Thanksgiving for the past 10 years....and my vote would be for the Sunday after....most everybody is on their way back home.:wizard:

We typically arrive the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We stay at FW and the place really empties out Sunday afternoon. We usually try and hit the MK Sunday evening (kind of a tradition) and have never found the crowds to be that bad.
