Hi guys! I was wondering if anyone who has eaten at Satuli Canteen would be able to describe the flavours of the sauces? I am soooo looking forward to trying this place, but am unsure about the flavour profiles of the sauces and what they would pair best with.

Thanks in advance for any feedback and or suggestions!

We went in May and both had the combination bowls, one with the creamy herb dressing and the other with black bean vinaigrette. The creamy herb was lovely and exactly what you'd expect- creamy and herby! The black bean however was gross- really strong vinegar flavour that totally overpowered the subtle flavours of the rest of the dish. Maybe you could order sauce on the side?

I asked the CM what sauce he recommended with shrimp and noodles and he said the black bean vinaigrette. I thought the flavor was great and worked really well with the shrimp! So I'd say figure out your base and protein and ask the CM for a suggestion.

Creamy herb is my fave. SO GOOD! its very mild in flavour. Not strong or overpowering at all. No sour or spice to it. Just a nice smooth mild flavour. I think this would appeal to most taste buds (unless you hate creamy dressing). ;)

If you're worried about the sauces just get the cheeseburger pods (they will still serve an adult portion). They are delicious! Really, Satu'li is one of the best quick service eateries at WDW, so I think you'll like it. The vinaigrette seems to be the most polarizing, so you might watch out for that.

Have had the creamy herb and liked it.
Had the chimichurri in the past and liked it. I don't recall seeing it the last time we were there.

I did not like what the CM recommended with the steak , but went back & easily got another flavor to try. It’s ccreamy herb all the way for me! Just be sure to get your sauce on the side.

It's all up to your pallet. If you like vinaigrette dressing or do you like creamy dressings, that's basically what you are doing is creating a salad, be it with noodles, lettuce or rice then throwing dressing and meat on it.
Both the chicken and beef are very good!
My go to is rice, combo, GOV sauce. I have had sweet potato, chicken and creamy and it was very good as well.

Can we start a petition for WDW to turn Tortuga in Adventureland at MK into the same style restaurant, please!!!!! haha

We just ate there this past week and had the creamy herb, it's exactly as it sounds but not as heavy as other cream based sauces. If you are concerned with flavor, you can order it with the sauce on the side. We do that and the bowls still have some oil based sauce on them and we add our own amount. I did not order sauce on the side the first time and it was overly sauced for me. So on the side is your safe bet. I did the creamy herb sauce with the chicken bowl, hearty salad. It's very good.

I personally couldn't stand any of the 3, but I'm also one who hasn't found a dressing anywhere that I like. The creamy herb tasted like a weird combo of ranch and Caesar, the black bean was VERY vinegary, and the chimichurri reminded me of pesto sauce if it were packed full of scallions.

The chimichurri is REALLY good. Hard to describe the flavor, but it's very fresh and you can definitely taste the onion. I had it paired with the grilled chicken and rice bowl.
The chimichurri is now called a Charred Green Onion Vinaigrette. Same basic thing (maybe exactly the same, I had them a year apart so I can't say for sure).
Yep, the chimichurri is now called "charred green onion vinaigrette" but it's supposed to be the same. A CM told me they changed the name because chimichurri was too hard for some people to pronounce. ??? I do think it has changed slightly since it opened and is not as strong tasting, like a regular chimichurri, if that makes sense. More "mild" than a traditional chimichurri. It's my favorite sauce and I get it every time.
