Hi everyone. I'm trying to decide if we should try Satu'li's this trip. I believe we would try on of the bowls but I"m a little nervous about the sauces. I've seen people compare it to making a salad with dressing which is where my confusion comes in. Are the bowls served warm or cold? Does anyone have recommendations about a sauce? Thanks in advance!

We were just there last week. We got a bowl and asked for the sauce on the side. They provided a small plastic cup of the sauce. To compare, I'd say it's like getting salsa on the side at Chipotle. You just add it to your bowl as you please.

The meat is served hot no matter what, but if you order a salad base, it really is a salad. The rice/noodles/potaotes are served hot.

If you want to give it a try, may I suggest order a kid bowl? It's smaller and less of a committment than a large bowl, but it's the same thing. Just know that you might go back for more - everything was delicious!

We love Satuli Canteen. You can get the sauce on the side. You can choose different options for the base, like a salad, but the protein is warm.

The drinks can be refilled at self serve stations and the restaurant is a nice air conditioned break.

When we went my daughter was a little hesitant about the sauces, but one of the CMs told us that you can ask for up to two sauces on the sides. If everyone in your party does that then you have the opportunity to try all of them. Personally I loved the herb dressing. Delicious!

Can you get a sauce with the kids menu bowls? It’s not listed as part of the meal nor is it an option when using mobile ordering.

OP, not sure where you live but do you have any options near you like Cava or Roti. And, of course, Chipotle. Satuli works a bit like those but you get much less personalization.

If you get a greens base, it will be a cold salad. The meat toppings are warm. Other types of bases like rice or noodles will be warm. Same as if you went to Chipotle.

We have a lot of these "bowl" type fast casual places where I live and I LOVE them. I was really happy to have Satuli on my trip last year.

There's always the Cheeseburger Pods too - I really like them. They will still sell you an adult portion if you ask.

They'll also sell you one pod! Children's portion is 2, so I assume the adult portion is 3. Definitely try them!

Actually, I think children's portion is one - the adult is two pods, with the slaw and root vegetable chips (which are awesome!). I had them a couple of weeks ago.

Can you get them without mustard? We were thinking of trying it but my kids HaTE mustard and the description makes it seem like the mustard is inside

Yeah, I don't know about that. They are likely pre-made and everything is inside. The best description I can use for them is "McDonald's Cheeseburger" - that is they have the hamburger meat, cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickles and onions (or at least the flavor of those things) inside. Basically, if they eat unaltered Mcdonald's burgers then it should be okay. I wouldn't say they have a strong mustard flavor.

In their defense, they do generally taste hotter, fresher and of higher quality than McDonald's typically does, but it's definitely in that flavor profile.

I don’t like mustard either but it’s barely noticeable. Don’t tell them it has mustard and they probably won’t notice. The beef overpowers the condiments. It’s much higher quality than a typical hamburger. I rarely eat beef unless it’s roasted, but this I like. It’s more of a shredded texture instead of hard bits of ground meat.

The mustard flavor is very noticeable (from one who also HATES mustard). The mixture is all ground up and premade so you can't get it without the mustard.

The place is also chaotic during lunch. Try to go at off peak times.

I recommend the chicken with sweet potato hash and creamy herb dressing. Thanks @Teleclashter for his recommendation on a vlog!
Oh I couldn't agree with you more. Every time i go there i get the sweet potato hash with chicken and the creamy herb dressing. DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant tell you enough how much i love it. They put the dressing on top, but you can get it on the side if you wish.

Does anyone know what the stoneware dishes are used at the Santuli Canteen? I’d like to get them for home.

I couldn't decide which sauce I wanted so I asked for them all on the side. There is a small charge for each additional sauce but I liked trying them all
