We are having dinner in Pandora right now, and we were trying to figure out what the purple chips are exactly. Obviously the white ones are regular potatoes and the orange ones are sweet potatoes, but I've never seen a purple potato. Any ideas?

They are "Root Vegetable Chips" so not necessarily potatoes, maybe a beet or batata.

Maybe like these -

There are definitely purple potatoes! We get them occasionally - they taste pretty similar to regular ones :)

There are definitely purple potatoes! I got some in my farm share box last year, and they turned my pot pie grey!!:crazy2:

Peru is credited with being the birthplace of the potato.

Purple is amongst the earliest known varieties of potato; they look blue when cooked.

You can enjoy an entire bag of purple potato chips 'for free' each time you fly with JetBlue airlines.
