I am shopping for satellite radio service. Does anyone have one? If so, which service? Do you like it? Thanks in advance!

XM

Love it

You'd think I'd go for Sirius but, oh well.

We got XM with our new Suburban. I love it! I am going to pay the monthly fees once our free subscription expires. Just not having commercials and all that talk is worth the extra $$$ to me!

I don't have any thing to compare to. I have heard the Sirius has the rights to all the NFL games. I have yet to break that to my DS who thinks once Wrestling season( he is 10) begins and we are gone every Sunday that he can now catch his beloved Rams on the radio, that he might be stuck to regular AM stations!

Anyway, XM gets my vote!

We have both Sirius and XM - XM for about three years and Sirius since the beginning of September. There's different things that I like about both. I think that it depends on what you are most interested in listening to. :D

Bumping because I know that lots here love their satellite radio! :D

We have Sirius and love it.

DH loves the commercial free music, and ability to program his favorite artist in so he get's alerts when they are played.

DS loves the kid's stations (Radio Disney)

We love getting reception on the road.

I love the "Sirius Left" talk station, a nice break from all the "right" talk on commercial radio.

We have the home kit (connected to our stereo) boom box (used outside and in the RV) and car kit, so we just simply move the receiver to where we want to listen to it.

I think Sirius is a tad bit more expensive than XM, but not by much, and they have specials. We paid in advance for 15 months at a discount, and got rebates on the hardware purchases when we bought.

I have XM and love it, especially for NASCAR ... XM 144 ... It's about all I listen to these days .... XM is $9.99 per month vs. Sirius' price of $12.95, never had Sirius so I cannot give any pros/cons on it ..... Andy

I have Sirius and love it. If you like sports they have the NFL and college foootball games. I believe they also have NBA.

We also have the home kit and listen to all the time.

Thanks to everyone for the input! I look foreward to having total control of what I listen to! (I love the 80's music and, down here, we have no 80's station!) Sports and news will be great too. I'm sure I'll find many more entertaining stations along the way!

Thanks again! cuods!

XM Radio just signed a deal with MLB that sealed the deal for me, I'm hoping for a nice Christmas Present from Santa.

DH and I have had XM in both of our cars for more than 3 years. I couldn't live without it now! :hyper:

Sirius has a special until (i believe) the end of the month.... pay $500 once and never pay again...

I've asked Santa for a Sirius set up for Christmas. Hope she takes the hint. ;)

DH has XM and loves it!!! I prefer just to make my own CD's with my favorite songs for the car.

I guess I am the type that having to pay for no commercials is a little to much, even though DH listens to the NASCAR channel the most and it has commercials {????}. I'm the penny pincher of the family. LOL!!! But I guess $10 something {including tax} is worth keeping DH's mouth from running and complaining in the car. I get enough of that from the kids. LOL!!
