Hey all!

So I usually fly Weds-Weds because it's generally cheaper to do so. However, this year, since we are travelling with others, Sat-Sat is what works for the majority.

Our dates are Dec 9-16, so I know we have time, but I am just a little frustrated that the prices on NWA and Sun Country are sticking at $308 on the non-stop flights.

I am so used to paying more like $208 per person roundtrip. But I fully admit to not travelling Sat-Sat in a really long time.

Is this a realistic airfare for Sat-Sat departures?

Again, I know I have time, but just trying to get a feel for what I can get. I already have my farewatchers set up...so give me your feedback.

Zulaya,
I'm with you on not traveling Sat to Sat, but this past year I had a Sat to Sat and I got it for $233 on NWA non-stop.

We have already booked our flight on Sun Country for June. We are flying out on a Monday and coming home on a Saturday. When I check the prices just out of curiosity, the Saturday portion is really going up! Go figure!

I am also price hunting for Dec. 6 - Dec 16, (so Wed - Sat) and my prices are really any better than yours right now! We are looking at leaving from Omaha or Lincoln. My only hope is getting SWA at exactly the right minute that Dec. rates are released...thoug it kills me to wait, as I am a pretty rigid planner and I want to know that I have tickets!!!!

Take a look at Airtran when their flights come out. They typically offer 1 non stop each day and their pricing is typically at $99 each way or about $222 per person all included.

SC is my carrier of choice, but not if they are going to stay up around $275 and higher....

Have a wonderful trip.

Yeah. I know Airtran has yet to release their schedule. But it's all gonna depend on when that non-stop is. We want to be to MCO early in the day...I really like those first flights out at 7am....so if their non-stop isn't leaving till 11am or 2pm or something, I'd probably not take it and pay for getting me there sooner.

However, it would be nice if they did release their schedule here soon so I can see what everyone is doing, but who knows when that will happen.

I always find the Airtran flight times from MSP to not be that great. They are ususlly early afternoon. I like to fly in the early AM also. :)

I am also a big fan of SC early am flight. This October we are trying something different. We are going to take the Airtran late afternoon/evening flight and connect in Atlanta. That way, we are at WDW the night before and we can hit the parks the next day. We will see how that works out.
