Maybe, but some companies only recruit on certain college campuses. My son is a senior at UGA, majoring in Accounting. He has been recruiting with all the big 4 accounting firms. They recruit heavily at his college campus, and other large state schools in the surrounding states. If you went to a smaller school and wanted to work for them, you would have a much harder time - they don't recruit there![]()
The Big 4 is overrated, plus Big 4 looks for CPA and/or on CPA track. Work for a smaller company gives you an actual edge than working at a big firm. Hands on everything is key to a nice resume. You are most diverse in your field instead of being stuck doing Taxes/Audits.
I am not encouraging anyone to like just wing the SAT, but we are on a budget board and realistic advice is don't spend so much money on these preps and tuition because at the end it is about the career.
Also another thing, don't force your kids to go into these Tutoring sessions. If the kid wants to learn, then that's a different story. Money would be well spent on the kid that wants to actually learn, not because he has to.
