we're in orlando now. Just watched the news and saratoga springs resorts utilities were shut off yesterday for failure to pay. They owe over $130,000. The utilities said they set up a payment plan with the resort to pay $20,000 every 2 wks. and that wasn't paid on time. the news did not say how long it was turned off or if it's still off, but surely they paid to get it back on. they did say some guests had to find other resorts to stay at for the remainder of their vacation.

It was NOT Saratoga Springs Resort. It was Saratoga Resort Villas and not on Disney Property.

sorry if i was wrong. the news just said "how would u like your disney vacation interrupted by no electricity" and they just said saratoga springs.

There was a thread started about this last night. It's not Saratoga Springs. If you search for the thread, there was a news clip of a reporter standing in front of this cheaply made sign with the hotel's name, definitely not Disney. The news really want you to believe it's a WDW resort, to spice things up.

Now that we've determined this resort isn't on Disney property, I'm going to close this thread so the SSR guests don't get a scare.
