Why can I not find much if any info on her about this resort? I wouldn't think its because its a DVC, because people talk about other DVC resorts here. Is it that bad that no one goes there? lol. TIA. Sean

We just returned from a short stay Easter week from Saratoga. It was very, very nice and I was quite impressed. However, we are DVC members and own at BWV. You will find a lot of talk on Saratoga on the DVC boards.

SSR is a DISNEY Vacation Club Resort. It has Deluxe accomodations, studios have private balconies & mini kitchen.Studios have free laundry serivce by the pools. 1,2 &3 bedrroms have full kitchens, washer/dryer, whirlpool spa tub in master suites and again private balconies. SSR has it's own bus service to the parks. It also has an internal bus system and a boat that runs to DTD, tho many chose to walk the short distance. A Major theme pool and leisure pools thru out the property. It has a resturant, and a bar and grill, in room delivery for groceries and a bar by the main pool.
It has a community hall where multiple activites occur daily, an arcade, carriage rides on property, and a full serice spa. It also has a state of the art fitness center. SSR has a golf course. As a DVC resort it also has MAgical Express to and from the airport.

It is a Disney "Home away from Home" Resort. Hope this info is helpful.

just went last week and had a wonderful time. Our kids really like it there.

We stayed there for 10 days last May and we loved it. Our home resort is BCV but both of our kids own at SSR. They were with us last May and they wanted to stay at their home resort for their first Welcome Home. We will be staying there again next May. It's a beautiful resort as are all DVC resorts, and it's very big. We stayed in The Springs section which is near the main pool, the store, the food court and the resturant. Plus your not too far from the boat dock that takes you to DTD or OKW. I didn't know they had carraige rides, that's even better yet.

Stayed there for my wedding and honeymoon last year. It's a very nice place. Although the major complaint is the size. The place is huge

We bought in at ssr and have stayed there 3 times we love it and so do our 3 children it just depends what you are looking for

Very true, and most people don't want a resort in a subpar location without room service, a decent sized pool, or poolside food. They also don't want to be a 1/2 mile from the main areas. It is all what you want. Glad you enjoyed SSR Resort, it is nice to know someone wil be staying there and not just upgraded All Stars guests.

I just did a quick search on Saratoga Springs and found over 25 threads with a SSR mention in the past 3 days! And that doesn't even include the ones the use SSR since I seached on the full name!

Lots of people go there, and lots of people enjoy it. I'd suggest using the search function if you are really interested in finding more comments that people have about this resort. :)

Are you following him around from thread to thread discrediting him for a reason?

He's entitled to his opinion just like you are to your own.

What do you mean by "upgraded All Star guests"? Are you saying Disney is upgrading All Star resort guests to SSR?

Interesting comments from someone who actually claims to work for MS - maybe he works under the MS bridge..... :lmao:

We've just switched from POR to SSR for our July stay. (It wasn't a free upgrade, but I did get an AP rate.)

Having never stayed at a DVC resort, I'm wondering if we will receive daily maid service. I should have thought to ask when I switched my reservation, but I didn't. Can any of you nice people help me with that question?

Thanks!

We are booked at SSR and I was told yes that we would get daily maid service.

From one S.C. to another, thanks for the information. That's sort of a relief. Did you request any particular section of the resort or are you just letting things fall where they may?

Thanks again.

Absolutely agreed :thumbsup2 !

It is almost becoming a challenge to keep up with all of the name changes. Where do you find the time Daitc, Truth, er Jack? You must be starting to feel a bit like Sybil :rotfl2: .

Either way, I do find your ranting to be comical and slightly entertaining!

I have to agree, I am sorry but I find it really hard to believe that a MS employee would come on here and post this stuff.

 S.C.

I read on one of the threads that the springs section is a good area to request. It is going to be so nice to have a washer and dryer. We stay for about 10 days and i normally do laundry, this time i'll just throw a load in before leaving for the parks and dry them when we get back.

We got a lot of use out of the fridge last year at AKL and also had cold breakfast foods, fruits and bagels. This time we can have a few hot breakfasts in the mornings.
