Saratoga Springs - Which section?

My family and I are planning on taking a relaxing trip to Saratoga Springs in March. We'll spend a lot of time at the resort just hanging out and using the pool. I can't get a handle on what section to request. I love the water views of Downtown Disney - but I also like to be close to the main pool and the community center. Is there a building in Congress Park that is also a quick walk to the main pool?

Given your situation, I'd suggest the Springs - closest to pool, Community Hall, food, etc. While the DTD view is nice (we had it when we were there for Founders Day grand opening), it sounds like you'd benefit more from pool access than the view. And don't let others fool you - it is NOT that far from one area to another....

There is NO room in Congress Park that's close to the main pool. We were as close as you can get and it still took about 5-8 minutes to get there (and I'm a spry 27-year-old who goes to the gym every day and walks quickly). I'm glad you're planning to stay at the resort--that's what I think SSR was built for: families that want to visit the parks occasionally, but want to spend most of their time kickin' around the resort. At least that's what it felt like to me.

Now, back to your question, if the pool and main areas are important to you, stick with the Springs. The Downtown Disney views of Congress Park are amazing (that's where we were, as I said), but if you don't want blistered feet from walking across multiple parking lots to get to the main pool, the Springs are for you.

Thanks for the responses. We will have a rental car - so if we decide to go with Congress Park, is there adequate parking near the main pool? I'm so torn about which section. I would like a nice view from our room since we'll be spending so much time at the resort. However, we do plan to spend a lot of time at the pool (if the weather cooperates).
