We are planning a last minute week long stay at WDW at SSR.

We have never stayed wt this resort or even visited before.

Which building would you request & why?

Any & All recommendations would be appreciated!:thumbsup2

We like to stay in the springs because it is close to the pool, restaurants and lobby store fronts, there is a bus stop close. The only problem is that it is the last bus stop and some mornings u will find full buses and have to wait.

We love to stay in Congress Park. Just a short walk to down town disney. But if you are going during the busy season I would stay at Grand Stand it is the first bus stop and you will always get a seat. Last year the bus did not stop at the springs everytime because it was already full.

If you have small children, go for Grandstand because it's the first bus stop and first drop off on the way home. Otherwise, I vote for Congress Park for it's proximity to Downtown Disney.

Okay kids 16-14-8-6 we like shopping & we like the pool we will have a car & drive everywhere except the Magic Kingdom:confused:

We just stayed at SSR for the first time last weekend. We were in a studio in one of the 8000 buildings in the Grandstand area and found the location to be just about perfect! REALLY close to the pool and bus stop and just a few minutes walk up to the main pool / Artist's Palette / boat dock etc. Liked being on the first bus stop (no car, only use Disney transportation). Went to DTD twice, once via bus & once via water taxi - not a bad wait for either. I will request that location again whenever we go back there:thumbsup2.

We have always requested the Paddocks area. It's quiet, not to far away from things and we like it!

If you love shopping and have a car then Congress Park is the way to go. If you're lucky you'll get a view like this:

We just spent a week there in the grandstand section. We loved being the first on and off of the bus, we always had a seat. We were very close to the pool. The walk to the lobby, dining, store was not that far at all. We did walk to downtown disney twice from that location and it wasn't bad. We will probably request the same location when we stay here again.

I love Congress Park and will always try and stay there. I try and get into building 16 and request a DTD view. It's beautiful! I like being close to the pool there since the main pool is usually packed when I decide to go. It's only a 5 minute walk to Artist Palette and the Spa. DH likes to walk and when he found the path to DTD he was all set!! He's not a pool person so he has his time and I have mine! :thumbsup2

Grandstand is our winner. 8000s are next to pool, 9000s are a short wak and quieter. Both are a short walk to lobby and main pool.

Loved it for being first stop for buses (except DTD, which is second stop).

We have stayed in the Paddocks twice now, and have loved it! We were in the 5500 section and we walked out the stairwell door right next to the quiet pool and were also right at the pedestrian bridge which was a straight shot all the way to the main pool and food!

We have teenagers and always stay at Congress park or the very last building of the Paddock. Love to hoof it into DD at night!! We rent a car so the bus is never an issue and we love the quiet pool and hot tub at Congress Park. The view can't be beat!!! SSR is one of our home resorts so we use it regularly. We love it!
