Saratoga Springs Studio near the main building?

We would not have a car
We would rent points from a DVC owner
Which area could we request a room close to the main building where the restaurants and gift shops are?

We love the look of the resort - but afraid of the size
They studio rooms are to our taste too

You need to book Preferred to be near the main building, and request Springs.

High chance in Standard of being nowhere near the main building.

If you book the preferred area you won't have to worry about the size of the resort since you will be in the center of everything. Springs is closer to the restaurant and gift shop, but Congress Park is closer to Disney Springs. It is a beautiful resort.

W/out having to pay extra for the preferred points, The Paddock area would be a nice compromise...Nice 2nd feature pool, with food options right there, & a short walk over the bridge to carriage house

The Grandstand section (which is in the Standard category) is very close to the Carriage House.

Oh, absolutely.

But Standard is now Grandstand, Paddock, Carousel. The 9501 building of Grandstand isn't all that close. There are 5 Paddock buildings and 2 Carousel, and 4 Grandstand. I think we all know how "not close" Carousel is, right?

I am mostly warning of the danger of assumption. You can request Grandstand with a Standard. But you may get Carousel.
