This is our first stay at Saratoga not our first choice but couldn't get into Boardwalk or Yacht and Beach. We are in a 2 bedroom villa and would like to be close to the bus stops for the parks and the large pool. Can anyone tell me which section that would be?
Thank you...

The main pool is near the Springs bus stop, but that is the last stop before leaving the resort so the buses can be crowded.

The grandstand bus stop is nice because it is the first stop and is closest to the grandstand pool which is pretty big but nowhere near the size of main pool.

Just back from a week at SSR/Carousel...Carousel bus stop is second in the loop of five (Grandstand, Carousel, Paddock, Congress Park, Springs)...it's about a 5 to 7-minute slow stroll (the pace of walking when it's 90 degrees and humid outside!) to the Springs/main pool/Carriage House...about a 3-minute slow walk to the Paddock bus stop which is right behind the Paddock Pool (the new themed pool w/a water slide and bar/food), and about a 10-minute walk to Congress Park...as a PP noted, Grandstand has its own pool, too, which is not as big as High Rock (the main pool), but still a good sized pool w/a water play area for the little ones (and a food and bar service area, too) next to it...

I think this last stay at Carousel (my first time anywhere but Congress Park or Grandstand) convinced me that nothing is really all that far away, once you get the "lay of the resort" in your head (I admit to my first trip to the main area taking 20 minutes om the dark, because I kept making wrong turns and thus walking in circles)...

But the Springs is the closest to Carriage House/High Rock Pool/Artist's Palette--by about 2-5 minutes...

Every section has its own bus stop. As others have said, the resort's main pool is at the Carriage House. The Springs is closest to this section. It's also not a far walk to the main pool from the Grandstand Section and some buildings in the Paddock section. The Paddock pool is also lifeguard protected, and is larger than the resort's other quiet pools. The quiet pools are located in the Grandstand and Congress Park sections.

Check out FAQ#4 in this thread for my thoughts on the pros and cons of each section.

:confused:Question about the Bus Stops" We were at SSR this past March and the Springs was the first Stop, then around the property and the Congress park the last. Have they changed this. Dont mean to hijack the thread but have seen this Springs being last a few times today.
:confused3

Springs is the first stop on the Downtown Disney route...the routes to the four parks are, however, Grandstand followed by Carousel, Paddock, Congress Park and Springs...

Of course, Disney is nothing if not inconsistent--it's entirely possible the route changed while PP was there! But we were there just last week and the route was as described above...

Can't you walk to DTD from SSR quicker than taking a bus? We have an upcoming stay there and the map looked like there were walking paths.

Yes, there are two paths to Downtown Disney from SSR--one that parallels the canal that starts "behind" the Congress Park quiet pool and lets out right near the bus stop at Marketplace; and another that goes over the footbridge behind the Carriage House (to the right of the boat dock) that lets out at the parking lot across from Cirque de Solieil on West Side...

Whether either is faster depends on how long one has to wait for the bus, how fast one walks, and where in Downtown Disney one is going...it's about 5-10 minutes (depending on walking pace) on either path...
